can I just pay Xur like, 50 Exotic Shards for the Celestial Nighthawk?
This autonomous and seemingly endless disappointment of running weekly nightfalls/raids/prison of elders and not getting anything worth while.

Yeah lemme just waste more of my time on end game with no real reward, can I just -blam!-ing pay for it? I have like 50 exotic shards from repeat drops of shit that's useless to carry doubles of.....
Just let me purchase the damn exotic I'm hunting for already, it's not like I'm ever getting the -blam!-ing Elder Cipher even though I just played with some asshole who already has two of the exotic weapons... I might as well just blow my brains out after 900 hours of gameplay. -blam!- thissssssssssss shit. Worst part is:
Next week it won't be any better and I'll still be playing this heroine-based game.

2 RepliesI can't stand rng crybabies. It's so simple. Increase your chances of getting it and you will eventually get it. It might not be as soon as you want and you might get 4 of another item before you get what you want, but it's the thrill of the hunt that should keep you coming back for more. Do more raids, nightfalls, PoE, and crucible and quit crying. Oh and btw [spoiler][/xur did sell it]

Once you get something, the game likes to keep giving it. I've gotten a ram after I got it from xür engram and a bunch of universal remotes I don't need haha.

You have to learn to recognize the patterns in the game. When one method fails repeatedly, then try the opposite. For example, did you buy the engrams while logged into your Hunter? That may be the problem. Last weekend I bought two engrams. I got Celestial Nighthawk and The Ram. I had to dismantle The Ram because I already had one of them.

I think, correct me if I'm wrong, that the RNG uses your player I'd no. as the input, which means that people get the same things over and over.- they should have just used the system clock as the input.. Far more random. E.g have got many obsidion minds, and hardlights, not much else.

I wish the same thing. I went 20 night falls without one exotic, but my streak was finally broken for an ATS/8 Arachnid. RNG hates me.

1 ReplyI think it would be fair to trade in 10 exotic armors for any exotic armor or 10 exotic weapons for any exotic weapon. Maybe 7 different ones. Whatever. That would solve the problem of endless grinding for that one elusive item, without the assumed easy mode stigma of just buying 10 shards with 70 strange coins.
