£39.99 is NOT the same as $39.99 (it is about $62 using the current exchange rate)
Please can you let me know when the correct price will be displayed in the xbox one store.
I can only assume this is an error since no other dlc I have ever bought in the last 7 years has practiced this pricing method apart from destiny. I paid £35 for the season pass (which was also priced at $35) and assumed it was an oversight on your part so I hope I am helping to point this out to you this time before you overcharge every paying customer in the UK.
Thanks.
Hopefully these links will help price content correctly.

31 RepliesEdited by cbrstar: 6/30/2015 9:00:43 AMYeah, but people in the UK generally earn more an hour than the US.. In the UK the min wage is $6.50(BP), where as the American min wage is $7.25..with the current currency conversion the avg UKer is actually earning $10.22 US. So lets work this out. For an American to purchase the game they have to work 5.3/hours, a UK person has to work 6.2 hours... So basically only an EXTRA hour!! Now before you say that's not fair etc, you have to account for shipping, import taxes and duty fees etc, etc.. So Bungie is actually being pretty fair.

Maybe your ancestors should have fought harder to not let those traitors get their independence. Then it would be the same price.

I'm sorry but your "money" is literally "foreign" to them so they just change the symbol and it's all good, don't like it?, well then bungie says move to america or use the American dollar instead or your weird "foreign" thing-bungie

They are well aware, no f.ucks will be given because it means more money.

PES 2016 is out the same day as the taken king, a full brand new game, and on its release date it can be bought for £32.99. 7 pounds cheaper than a dlc. It's a disgrace. I love Destiny and I've played the shit out of it, but this price has totally split my regular group as we feel we are being ripped off. I think they will lose a lot of players in the UK over this.

Mind if I borrow your time for a moment?

I am in Tx and while I agree this is garbage, even more so is the fact they are releasing a new guardian edition, for $80 U.S. Also, it will have TTK and everything prior, goodies that only come with this hard copy special edition, both in game and irl. While I and many others paid $90 for the digital guardian edition which ended up being a waste of $90. Bungie can officially go fornicate themselves with a jagged rusty piece of metal. I haven't played in awhile, and for good reason. I only log into the forums in hopes of that magical post that says a game I once loved is fixed, there goes that dream.

Different markets, different currencies, different setups in terms of monetary holding and fee's based on contracts with banks? There's a reason some of those countries are in a depression still. Most of the UK has to pay everything through taxes and public service programs. Bungie, as a company doing any sort of business in that respect, does have to pay homeland fee's no different then the U.S. does. The difference is we don't get as much for our tax rates as the UK. So no OP. The price is pretty much set and you'll be paying it or not playing TTK fully, but here's to hoping you get your way and the weekly update confirms that.

You guys do know most products are not priced the same across the world right? For instance Iphones: 6 plus 64 gb http://store.apple.com/us/buy-iphone/iphone6/5.5-inch-display-64gb-space-gray http://store.apple.com/uk/buy-iphone/iphone6/5.5-inch-display-64gb-space-grey http://store.apple.com/fr/buy-iphone/iphone6/%C3%A9cran-5,5%C2%A0pouces-64go-gris-sid%C3%A9ral US: 849 USD = 540 GBP = 762 Euros UK: 699 GBP = 1097 USD FR: 919 EUROS = 1023 USD

Why do we have to pay the same or more than the shelf price for digital versions of games? Also why does New Zealand pay up to 20% more for games than Australia when our dollar values are nearly the same? Seems like plain greed to me.

1 ReplyYou do realize that Bungie doesn't control the pricing, Activision does. All Bungie does is make the game. Activision distributes it.

2 RepliesI've moved this into Feedback for you.
