I'm british, I really don't care about emotes or shaders or ships and I personally think you have to be a little crazy to pay real money for that shite.
My problem with TtK prices are
Americans pay $40
Brits pay $62 ish
For the exact same thing which is not on!
I see a lot of people complaining about people complaining that they want free shit.
I do not want free shit, I just don't want to have to pay $22 more than the Americans.
I haven't looked at prices for other countries so don't know who else is being ripped off but feel free to have your say.
!!!! This is not about war or taxes it's greed and as a gaming community we should stick together and help each other out if we can not argue about which country has the biggest D.I.C.K because we all know that's the UK (Mr Cameron) !!!!

I'm rich, move along peasant. *pulls on red jeans, wraps sweater around shoulders*

Someone has to bail out Greece it might as well be the Brits and righteous employees at Bungie. Just like all the good they did for Nepal..........
-
Don't judge me.

Alright, since people don't understand how minimum wage works. Phoenix minimum wage: $7.90 New York minimum wage: $8.75 1 adult ticket for ted 2 at an AMC theater Phoenix: $7.57 New York: $17.49 Funny thing is if i plug them into an online converter, the New York ticket still is $9.98 more expensive. The hire standard of living means prices go up. Simple as that
-
But didn't you buy the full version game in the beginning just the same? Over priced. Why did you guys not complain then?
-
Even though I've bumped like 20+ posts just like this one, I'm still gonna bump some more. Why should non-US countries pay upto 1.5x the amount, for digital download?! BUMP!! sort it out Bungie
-
The extra cost is due to living in a better country, it's all good
-
I feel that everyone is in an uproar for what may just end up being a typo. I hope so at least.
-
I'll give the real reason of why it costs more. There are two things that Americans love, money and you named it, pounds. America is always trying to get as many pounds as they can get since we are known as the fat nation. Oh but now you aren't making fun of us because we are trying to take a few more pounds from the UK. Well reality check, WE ARE FAT AND WE LOVE EXTRA POUNDS
USA USA USA
-
That is what you get for living in a socialist shit hole. I don't even pay for food here in America. I just shoot homeless people and eat them.

Edited by BobbyDigitalRZA: 7/2/2015 1:12:30 PMSo does this mean when I visit the UK they will lower there prices to match my US money?
-
I'm curious because I really don't know, did you guys pay £399 for a PS4 or was it less?
-
I'm from the UK and I couldn't give a -blam!- about the pricing as this game for me and me alone is dead. I've got that bored of this game, that I'm back to playing fifa 15! Of all games. I played this game daily and now I hardly play it at all. I honestly can't see myself grinding for the next few months, same in same out. But your all moaning about a -blam!-ing game and its pricing there's people out there dying main about real world problems for -blam!- sake.
-
Dont you get free dental? Were even now
-
you british guys didnt want EURO currency and this is the result ;)
-
Hello OP. American here..good post. Made me laugh... especially the "big d.i.c.k." part, not the price part. That seems unfair.
-
Can't people in the uk maybe exchange their pounds to dollars and buy the DLC on line in an American website so that it's less money??
-
Honestly though there's probably a bunch of factors. Currency exchange rate, possible export/import taxes. They technically have to apply to digital content as well. Your own home country's tax on digital content. I haven't taken the effort to look at facts but those are things to consider.
-
"...which is not on!" That is such a British thing to say.

Edited by Judson: 6/30/2015 6:55:57 PMA few questions for my understanding. 1. What do you pay for a gallon of milk? 2. What do you pay for a gallon of gas? 3. What do you pay for a pack of cigarettes? 4. What do you pay for a six pack of beer? Thanks I realize you don't operate with the gallon. Sorry about that. 3.8 L per gallon.
-
I'm sure if we look at exchange rates and minimum wage, you will find that it takes less time for a Brit to make $60 that it takes the US to make $40.

The Sons of Liberty beg to differ, guardian.

Regardless of average incomes, tax, vat, import tariffs ect. Both Bungie and Activision, on their other games, not to name every other company, for years have managed to avoid making UK/ EU players pay such a huge difference in comparison to our US counterparts. I'd be a little more satisfied if this were at least acknowledged and answered, in detail this time. Not just Deej saying that someone explained it to him, but its not within his expertise so he doesn't remember/ really know why.
-
Edited by CookieNiki: 6/30/2015 8:55:32 PMI'm also in Europe and paid 70 euros for the main game last November. That's something like 78 dollars at today's currency. And that's always the usual price for all AAA games.
-
Lol lives in America and doesn't now prize change lol

I agree. Playing ignorant over "funny foreign currency" does not work in this day and age. I could download a currency converter on my phone right now. How can a multi-million (billion?) corp not figure this out? They know what they are doing, and it's -blam!-ing shitty. I feel bad for you guys.
