Yes, I am legitimately wanting to know the answer to this, but odds are I won't ever get a reply. Or if I do, it won't be anything worthwhile outside of the same old stuff. "Your feedback is important to us" or "we are listening" claims given to the masses day in and day out. We never get to actually have a Bungie Representative step up and actually speak on behalf of the company, and actually sit down to have a serious discussion with anyone about our issues, wants, needs or ideas being offered on a regular basis.
You take 1 day a week in your "Weekly Update" to actually speak to us, and its not even actually speaking to anyone. You're "addressing" the public by telling us what you're willing to do or give us. That's it. You completely avoid the actual problems the community wants dealt with.
People are quitting left and right and its because of there being zero communication. I've made numerous threads in the past, and not a single time did I ever think Bungie was actually paying attention. Etheric Light was possibly the ONLY time I felt like the company gave a damn, and that is the sole reason I came back to Destiny. But after the announcement of The Taken King and there being no word at all about the status of being able to continue upping my old weapons and armor, I've been left to feel like whatever time I invest further into the game is just going to end up as a giant disappointment and total waste.
So I have since stopped playing the game, AGAIN, and am now waiting until someone decides to -blam!-ing confirm whether or not we've been duped once more and that all the time spent playing in the Prison of Elders has just been nothing more than a monumental waste of life.
There are SO MANY other games out there that and that are on the way, when you compare the content to the price? Destiny just falls short in all respects.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Dragon Age: Inquisition
Elder Scrolls Online
Planetside 2 (100% FREE on PS4, PS Plus not even required)
Halo 5 (God Bless Joseph Staten)
The Division
Rainbow Six: The Siege
Battleborn
FINAL FANTASY 7 REMAKE (Hell yes...)
Warhammer: Total War
Does Bungie actually care about any of this? Do they care about Destiny anymore or are they already working on their 'next big thing' that no one is going to buy because their reputation has been so badly damaged with all of this. Because honestly, Bungie's name and legacy is what sold Destiny, don't anyone kid yourselves. The vast majority of Destiny's "founders" were all Halo fans who saw Destiny as being the spiritual successor to the company's former top name franchise. And the fact it was going to be multi-platform gave everyone hope for the best.
But its been one thing after another. Joseph Staten's departure from Bungie was the start of it all. We should have known bad things were happening, and its clear that Activision is at the root of it all. But how far has Activision's influence impacted Bungie? How much of Bungie is still the Bungie we remember? Because it certainly feels like something entirely different.
So really, I want to know. Prove me wrong.
I want someone from Bungie to reply to this post. Show me and everyone else that you are in fact "listening" and reading everything that gets posted on here. Show your community that you haven't lost touch with your players and that you are capable of actually communicating with us instead of only relying on the Weekly Updates.
Bump/Like if you agree with me and want to see Bungie respond to this.

1 Reply~Customized Bump~ “It does not do to rely too much on silent majorities, Evey, for silence is a fragile thing, one loud noise, and its gone. But the people are so cowed and disorganised. A few might take the opportunity to protest, but it'll just be a voice crying in the wilderness. Noise is relative to the silence preceding it(Stop playing for a day or a week or more). The more absolute the hush, the more shocking the thunderclap. Our masters(Bungie(vision) have not heard the people's voice for generations, Evey and it is much, much louder than they care to remember.” ~~ Alan Moore

You know, the only time I've seen anyone from Bungie post in a thread started by a player was in the General Discussion section, and that was apparently only for the purpose of moving the thread to the Feedback section. Maybe we're all just posting in the wrong place? Seems to me that the only area on the forums they pay attention to is that.

Not to mention on the WoW forums more blue text shows up a week then probably the entire bungie staff has posted on this forum

1 ReplyWelp. 24 hours later.

Just look at the mess bungie has created lately. That's your answer.

2 RepliesEdited by TX Ag01: 6/29/2015 10:59:14 PMSo players have an outlet for frustrations. You feel like, or felt like, you had a voice didn't you? Yup, but now you see this isn't a democracy. This is a business. Bungie doesn't care what we want, only what we will buy. And enough idiots will pay for TTK that bungie doesn't learn. Not me.

1 ReplyWhy would they post if all there going to get is whinging people just hurling abuse at them, They might start to listen now that they realise somebody seems intelligent on the forums
-
1 ReplyI played on an empty moon for two hours a couple days ago. I had mixed feelings about it. Only guardian there, no allies, events rolling in, wolves showing up, it was actually kinda nice. Then another guy showed up... oh well.
-
1 ReplyI'd shave off Warhammer Total War fromthat otherwise good list of yours. Creative Assembly really shit the bed with Rome 2.
-
1 ReplyThey don't respond to bitchers for one and two they do listen and no they don't reply because they don't want to make false promises and Bungie does not do marketing you know it's Activision
-
The feedback forum is to give you a specific place point out all the major flaws instead of somewhere that a potential new customer might read.
-
7 RepliesIt's actually called the "Ignored" forum.

5 RepliesHuh... I don't see this thread listed anywhere now. Like, no where in the trending section. Might just be me, though.

BUMP Also - When's the last time you've seen are Great Community Manager Post anything recently? (Besides updates or automative robot responses) Leave Links to prove his Absence, or his Greatness as a Leader! Pls no negative Comments just overall whereabouts :)

2 RepliesThe only thing they are listening to, are our ideas to build Destiny 2. I suspect they lack the true creativity and foresight to build a truly creative games. Those that could create, and bring vision to the game, have no authority/control to do so. That's why the leveling has changed. The guns leveling and ascending has changed, the repeated nerf and buffs implementation. Too many changes, too many direction changes, and no real new content. The clear signs of lack of leadership. This game has changed mechanics too many times, the loot systems suck, no real spark of creative thinking shows in this game. I suspect there's some corporate yes man in charge, than a true gamer.

I have been saying that the community updates should be about real issues brought up by the actual community. Not just shilling some freaking YouTube video of some asshat playing the game and squealing like a little girl. They have a ton of issues that the could actually address. Just look at the joke of a "wish list". Or just look at what the most commented topics are. It could be that those threads have so many comments cause they are real issues. I could care less about some fat loser talking about wearing some bosses ass as a hat.

1 ReplySame not paying anything else to bungie unless the prices reflect the true value or it can be proven to be worth what they are asking the only reason I bought destiny and the season pass was simply because it's had the bungie name on it They have totally shit all over there fans and as far as I'm concerned the name Bungie means nothing anymore at current and present time The sad truth is they don't care and it shows people will say it's activisions fault but bungie ultimately decided to go with them and knew what they were getting themselves into Also it's sad they don't care and it makes no difference that people feel this way Because the reality is they'll loose all there previous bungie fans and squire new fans that will be ok with just continuing to pay for the new bungie it's sad already how many people have already bought ttk
