What is the hold up? PvP is in such an awful state and has been for a long time and we still haven't seen a fix... There are literally thousands upon thousands of threads complaining about this and still nothing has been done, instead you try and shove Trials of Osiris down our throats and expect it to "Competitive" in the current state of PvP... I am getting so unbelievably sick and tired of PvP that I am about to put the game on a shelf until The Taken King... The state of this game is ridiculous. Have you even played crucible lately? Are you paying attention at all to the forums? For the life of me I can't understand why PvP is still in the state it is in, surely you understand that you have put it off so long it's not that hard for us to reach the conclusion that you either do not care at all or you are simply not capable of balancing PvP... Here are a few things that need to be done since apparently you guys at Bungie still haven't figured it out... Thorn: Reduced range and rate of fire, damage over time reduced. These are the main issues with the weapon, personally I would love to see the gun fill the role of a medium range handcannon, some where in between TLW and Hawkmoon. This would be easily achievable by removing the range perk from the gun, making the DoT tick less times and gradually tick for less damage, and slow down its RoF. Boom just like that it's not an OP spammy crutch weapon that it is now... The Last Word: The main issue with this is that its range is not reflected in game as it should be, the damage drop off needs to be more severe in damage or distance... Fix the ADS bug as well, I still come across it every now and then. Pretty simple fix you would think... Auto Rifles: First off way to go basically removing an entire species of weapon from your game, that in itself is an amazing feat. These need to buffed as a whole, I haven't seen an auto rifle in crucible in months and also PvE... These have to have the damage increased to be at least somewhat useful, personally I think they could have a steeper damage drop off and they would be balanced. They are supposed to be forgiving weapons, they are supposed to be used by the masses, that is the reason you saw them used so often. Yes suros was a little strong but instead of nerfing it into place you killed all of the auto rifles, GG... I think I have covered the basics that are desperately needed in this game as you could tell by thousands of forum post if you look into it... Before the trolls arrive I'll go ahead and clear a few things up. Yes these hand cannons are crutch weapons, they are incredibly easy to use and as a result are the only weapons used right now. Yes I use them, they are so good (broken) it is pointless to fight it and not use one as well, as soon as they balanced I will happily go back to my pulse rifles. Sincerely, an avid player of destiny who is considering putting the game away until it is balanced or selling the game completely. After the interview fiasco you guys really need to step up your game to show that you aren't brain dead money hungry people that could care less about the game or the community, the place this attention is most needed is crucible, hopefully you realize that soon before people get sick of it and move to other games. There are a lot of big name, good games launching this year, your game will die off if you don't get it together soon.... If you managed to read all of this thank you for your time and I'd love to see your thoughts on the balance in the game, I know there are lots I didn't cover and some may disagree with my ideas. I am stating opinions that are largely based off the community as a whole in hopes of Bungie taking action. The majority of people acknowledge that the game is broken and needs to be fixed. Some of the major issues being TLW is glitched and that Thorn is to strong, it has an incredible amount of range and rate of fire while maintaining perfect accuracy and the DoT is a bit to strong, there is no reason less than 10 weapons out of 100's should be the only thing we see in crucible and that is exactly what is happening... To clear some things up I do agree that skill based matchmaking as well as connection fixes and stopping cheaters is needed, I just wanted to bring to attention some things that could be easily fixed in a patch that need to be fixed... With all that being said if you still want to post your opinions about what you think should be done to contribute to fixing the weapons go ahead, but if you are still here to be negative and just start arguments I will report you and have your comment removed. I don't care to entertain your idea of trolling or you wanting to be big and bad and flash your internet ego around... This thread was started to contribute to bringing these issues to Bungie's attention and to have actual conversation about what we think would help this game out, not to shout profanity at people we don't agree with over the internet... EDIT 2: Oh boy, yet another Iron Banner to "Compete" in with the same unbalanced weapons. I don't understand you guys... You were so quick to nerf suros that wasn't really that strong, just used a lot as it was sold so many times. Yet Thorn and TLW which are used WAY more than suro and are WAY more OP than suros ever wanted to be remain untouched. You guys are without a doubt the worst dev team I've ever had to put up with for a game, it really is amazing how you have completely turned your back on this community and the game, you are really showing you do not care at all. All you care about doing is shoving DLC and these awful PvP events down our throats... Thanks for the opportunity to "compete" in what is supposed to be a fun event, but I'll pass on yet another PvP event in which every single player will be spraying down the lobby with a single broken gun...
