If you can find one, an Asus G46. It's a fourteen inch screen, good battery, durable. They don't make them anymore so you'd have to buy used.

1 ReplyEdited by C00LC0W247: 6/30/2015 6:58:15 PMBuild your own, that is the best option. There are thousands of videos out there on it. At least that is what I am doing. The average price is about 700$ for a decent computer for games. To make your own you need to buy the parts online and put it together your self. It is worth it! (Also I am sorry but with out spending a ton of money, you will have to go with a desktop. There might be some ways you can get an okay gaming laptop but gaming is not meant to be on laptops.) For a good desktop build, this is my specs.(total cost 450) Processor: Intel Core i3-4130 - $120 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116946&cm_re=core_i3-4130-_-19-116-946-_-Product Why: I initially though AMD would be a good choice, but then I found out the most bang-for-buck AMD APU was slower in graphics and performance than this Intel one. While this processor is $10 more, it’s about 1/3 faster. Motherboard: ASRock H97M Pro4 - $68 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157512&cm_re=socket_1150_motherboard-_-13-157-512-_-Product Why: For one, it’s has the proper socket for the processor, and second, on PCMag.com, ASRock is rated as the most reliable brand at the moment after Gigabyte’s warping socket recall. This board is very simple and straightforward and has 4 RAM slots, which I like greatly. RAM: Corsair Vengeance (2 x 4) 8 GB RAM Kit “CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9” - $50 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233144&cm_re=DDR_3_ram-_-20-233-144-_-Product Why: This is like perfect. Corsair is a trusty brand, it’s 1600 MHz (Which is the fastest DDR3 speed), and it’s only $50. I was seeing 4 GB kits with slower speed costing twice as much. Heck, if you felt like it, buy two kits, you can get a monstrous 16 GB of RAM for only $100, but 8 GB itself is more than plenty. Power Supply: EVGA 100-W1-0430-KR – 430W - $35 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438015 Why: EVGA is a good brand and it is “80-Plus Certified”, which is a fancy way of saying that it is efficient and runs cool. It’s 430W and has all the bells and whistles you need for all the peripherals. Case: Fractal Design Define Mini Black Micro ATX - $70 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352011&ignorebbr=1 Why: Built well, good air ducting and is favorited by many custom builders everywhere. It doesn’t have all the flashing lights, but it’s simple and compact. Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 ST3000DM001 – 3 TB - $90 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148844 Why: While on the pricier side, it had the most value, and all that storage should future-proof it quite nicely. Other than that, it’s pretty straight-forward. Miscellaneous: DVD Drive: LG DVD/RW With M-Disc - $20 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136276&cm_re=dvd_rw-_-27-136-276-_-Product SATA Cables: Coboc Model SC-SATA3-18 – Around $2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812422752&cm_re=sata_cables-_-12-422-752-_-Product *You will need to buy at least 2 of these. For wifi You need to instal a card

Build your own. It's cheaper and much more efficient.

Dude I don't think there is a laptop that can run gta5 smoothly, get your money's worth and get a desktop.

Laptops aren't really known for their long battery life if they're meant for gaming, unless you want to have it plugged in most, if not all the time. Don't buy a laptop, just buy the parts for a desktop and build it from scratch. That's what I did with mine, and my desktop is valued to be around $1200-$1500, but I only paid $500 for the parts altogether and the Windows. Though, if you have to get a laptop, don't go for Alienware or Lenovo. An old HP can run LoL easy at around 40-45 FPS on medium settings. You can't really find a laptop powerful enough to run GTA V though unless you really splurge out, but you could have bought 4-5 gaming desktop worth of parts.

Edited by DELIVER ME MEMES: 6/29/2015 11:29:21 PManyone telling you desktop is not being a dick, they are trying to help you to be smarter with your money. all gaming branded laptops are overpriced and underpowered as well as insanely bad overheaters. and the decent ones go from $2K to $4K or more. in comparison a good DIY budget gaming desktop with a portable form factor is around $800. edit: and laptops all come with windows pre-installed. but it's not a clean installation or the version you buy in a box with install DVDs. it's actually a gimped version that's weaker and usually has some form of spyware or adware installed. after lenovo revealed this, most of the other companies revealed that they did something similar.

Don't buy a laptop or I promise you you'll waste so much money.

1 ReplyUmm I would honestly suggest building a gaming desktop, and buy a laptop with basic features yet still useable for a "normal" amount of usage
