just got a legendary engram from patrol.. and i got : token of identity" .
? since when do we get real crap from legendary engrams..?

Yep. Happened to me the first week of HoW. I was like cool a legendary and made my character dance like I always do before picking up a legendary and blam! Token of ? (Forgot which one it was since those tokens drop like crazy). All I could do was laugh and think damn I just got trolled.

They should change the colors. I know they use purple for the queens put its not a legendary engram.

Edited by blade2521: 6/29/2015 4:48:00 AMBasically the The Tokens are supposed to drop from the HoW enemies, usually majors. But if your not near them, it'll just drop as a legendary engram. Because their legendary. Hope it makes sense.

I'm pretty sure it's a glitch. You see a purple engram drop, but in reality it should be a triangular pyramid thingy drop. It's happened to me, too. Even without this issue, Legendary Engrams are still disappointing as hell nowadays. Ohhh, what will I get? A piece of armor I could buy from the Vanguards? A piece of armor I could buy from the factions?? Weapons I could buy from the Vanguard? Or maybe... WEAPONS I COULD BUY FROM THE FACTIONS?? GASP! THE POSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS! Meanwhile, pre DB items and pre HOW items are COMPLETELY LOST TO TIME, because Bungie hates fun.

Had the same thing happen to me. Not terribly useful given the only way to get rep is PoE, which is weekly and slow, or dismantling tokens for a miniscule amount of rep.

It never was a legendary engram, it drops from the "boss" of a wolf pack. It's part of the legendary class therefore appears the same as a legendary engram on the floor but make no mistake, you had no chance at a legendary engram when it dropped.
