Why does every other games season pass cover all dlc but destiny only covers two
This is getting old fast. Apon purchase of my batman season pass for the last batman. I noticed that it covers all dlc and extra content released for the game even after my purchase. Same with halo and a few other games I own. Like borderlands. You pay one price for new content called a season pass and you get all new content even if the content is released a year later. You get a message saying if you already purchased the season pass don't buy this dlc or you will be charged again.
But not destiny. Destiny didn't even give the outlined contents of the season pass with the season pass lol it clearly stated raid btw.
I only purchased the season pass because I figured just like all the other games buying the pass would cover all new content released for the game.
But not bungie
They want all the money they can get.
So why can other game developers give out all their content with the season pass but bungie can't ? Calling it an expansion doesn't change anything . It's new dlc content being added to a game I already spent over 100$ dollars on and I don't even own it.lol
Destiny could take all our money from the taken king and the day after release they could claim to be bank rupt shut the severs down and boom Not a soul will ever play destiny again. Because we don't own it bungie does .
So why are we paying the same value for a game we only get access to play as we do for games that once purchased can be played over and over untill the end of electricity as long as there's a box alive and still working.
I own my bat man games and my halo games and all my other games.
I pay to be able to play destiny. How -blam!-ing sad

Destiny's season pass only covered season 1 (year 1). The Taken King is the major start of season 2, so another season pass is likely to come out again. Imagine the price of a season pass that lasted you all 10 years of Destiny.

Always READ what the pass includes before complaining, Destiny from day one only promised two DLC packs with their "EXPANSION PASS". Most developers give out all of their DLC with a single pass because by the end of year one they've given up development and have no more content to offer.

When I bought it they said it covers expansions I & II. Nothing more.

Well not defending here but the pass never said season pass it said Expansion Pass. It also said it would cover The Dark Below and House of Wolves only. It also was put up for 5 dollars less to buy it that way versus separate.

On one hand you could say, Because Activision ( mainly ) and Bungie are money grabbing whores who do not give a rats arse about the community. Or, Because Activision and Bungie are a business and are here to make money. Either way we are screwed!

Well, a season is actually only three months, so the fact that each covers a year is enough to drive me crazy

Because all the other game have either been around long enough that they've discounted their DLC or they are YoY life cycle games that have planned DLC.

Because every other games DLC comes out in 1 year, so did TDB and HoW, so you buy a pass for a year.

Every game season pass doesn't. Why this is? Because when DLC were first introduced gamers bent over to take it sans lube. So now developers think that's how they like it.

This is the future of Destiny. 2 very short DLC every 12 months for 20$ then a DLC that's Digital only for 40$ with two more DLC for $20 each. $180 dollars to finish 30min worth of story cutscenes and 3 raids.

They never called it a season pass. It did say that it only gave you two of the future dlcs. The Dark Below and the House of Wolves. Did you really expect to get all future DLC's for $30?

It did tell you before you bought the season pass what it covered. I know cause I was disappointed too but I understood that after a year is a new season.

Expansion Pass covered-TDB and HoW. September 9th the one year mark and so ends the Expansion Pass. Same with other season passes, they only last the first year of release. If they add more after the first year then they might offer another season pass, but usually a sequel is already announced. You're welcome
