Why do none of you remember the original Dragon Ball not Z

I remember it, but it wasn't that great compared to Z, in my opinion. It was good, but it was (the show at least) targeted at a younger audience. There originally was no Dragon Ball Z in the manga, but they did so in the anime since there was a while between the end of Dragon Ball and the start of Dragon Ball Z.

Ask these people. In my other thread i said ive seen db, dbz, sailor moon, avatar: the last airbender... but they said that was cartoon section.
