What's with all the hate on people under 18?
Why is there so much hate on the people under 18? The game is rated T for teen not M for mature. Can someone help me understand this new idea to ban the people under 18?
FYI I'm 15 but I play mature and don't say I'll bang your mom type of crap.

I agree with all of you that say certain people under 18 are annoying especially the squeekers. I got what I wanted out of this post if you want to continue to post stuff on here that's fine.

Idc what age/gender/color you are. If you suck, if you're rude, if you're irritating i dont play with you. A "squeaker" is like a low grimoire score. Its a red flag. Not because "kids are bad" or "kids are irritating". Its because most experiences with kids are "bad and irritating" so, you form biases.

I'm 18 and I honestly don't give a damn who I play with so long as they aren't total asses. I would MUCH rather play through a raid with some 12-15 year olds that have their emotions in check than a 20 year old that always blames people for shit going wrong and gets pissy because somebody else isn't perfect. I've kicked a level 32 with Max GHorn on CE because he did exactly this. Games are meant to be played to have fun and I don't want to play with people who take away from that. :)

I'm 23 and in all honesty it doesn't bother me to play with younger people, its just those few who think because their parents let them play games like GTA and COD that their some sort of invincible, elder badass. Then you have those who have attitude problems toward those who havent/ don't play the same as them. "What do you mean you can't run relic? How the hell do you not know how?" "Uh, how about because there's usually someone else that's ran it before, and feels more comfortable running it, so I've never been given a chance." "No your just gay" Those types of players make anyone regardless of age irritated, it just makes it worse when you find out their younger then you and makes you wanna give them proper discipline lol

4 RepliesAs a 16 year old who mostly games with people his age, I can honestly say that I understand why nobody wants to play with our age group. The guys I play with and I have become pretty good friends because of Destiny. We have a Kik chat so we can try to get online at the same time (we live in many different places) and one of us even sent another a birthday card. It's really great! But we're also really dysfunctional. One person can slip up and be branded as inferior for a while until someone else makes a mistake. Then they are chastised for their mistakes. People have been kicked out of our group for almost no reason whatsoever only to be let back in a few days later and all is forgotten. I guess my point is that, as an age group, we are way too emotional and annoying. We also have a superiority complex and feel like we're above everyone else. Not all of us show these tendencies, but the ones who do are what we are labelled by because people decide to talk about the bad more than the good.

There is hate everywhere in this game. Youngsters, women, thorners, gjally owners, non gjally owners, final rounders, casuals, tlws, felwinters snipers, people with no raid completions, Christmas noobs, xurners, petition posters, thorn nerfers, race, Religion, etc. The list goes on. People come on here to bitch at others because they are either bored or just unhappy with their own shit. Almost never is someone's spewed hate a legitimate logical concern on these forums. Mostly people bitching and moaning because they don't have shit else to do atm. Dont sweat it. Luckily, there are some people out there who are normal. I reluctantly say though, that these forums are generally a bad place to start looking.

7 RepliesSome adults such as myself who are also parents chose not to play with those under 18 not because we hate you, quite the opposite. We believe you should be playing with people your own, age not with grown Men and Women who maybe drinking, smoking, swearing talking about completely inappropriate subjects in the company of children. I know you feel that you are not a child, but to me you are and it is my job as a responsible grown adult to help protect you against these things by adhering to certain rules of society, If I was to start hanging out with you and your mates at the skate park, how would that go down? It is your parents job to guide you, not other gamers who are strangers who you know nothing about no matter what they tell you. All I can do is chose not to play with anybody under 18, and to advise those that do, not to. Trust me, I wish I could have you kids help sometimes, you have mad skills and your reflexes are insane, I know because mine once were too.

People just need something to hate, sadly. Especially this community! We are all grinding out asses off for some reason. Not getting drops we want. So people take it out on others :) at least that's my observations.

For me a lot of teens just don't shut up, and teenagers being teenagers they think they know everything, when they know nothing, which they won't understand till there adults and there getting the same BS as we do now. But your right, some (like 5%) of teens are fine and a laugh.

4 RepliesIt's funny, a large majority of these people were probably "squeakers" playing halo2 or COD online when they were 13 or 14 like me. Shout out to all you birth year 1991 hypocrites!!

5 RepliesIts not hate per-say its just that most under 18 don't listen to advice or try doing things there own way. For example on crota hard raise we weaken the yellow knights and have someone take them out with there super to create orbs, I do this all the time with my clan and it helps keep u alive. On the eight or so occasions I helped some young kids through they killed the knights after I told them 30 or so times not to and they wouldn't listen when I said fire at crota together. And after I lost it I got all kinds of abuse (not that it bothered me I can destroy souls with my words) about how its my fault and they would get someone who had done it before. I had glowhoo on and had necrochasam equiped. Plus I can say some very warped and random crap so I generally don't play with under 18. But just to flip it my clan does help out 3 or 4 squeakers' (a term for pre pubescent children, not an insult. As there voice sometimes is high) and they are really quite good and know how to work as a team.

Don't have problems with say 14, 15 +, they seem alright. It's the under 14 crowd that gets a bit annoying with the constant babbling and loudness in the back ground (crying kids, yelling siblings or parents).

They get too worked up, too emotionally invested, too easily pissed off, and too easily offended. 3) They don't know how to SHUT THE -blam!- UP. Seriously, they want to tell you every. -blam!-ing. thing. about themselves, their personal lives, what they did in the game last week, what happened at school, their entire life goddamn story. 4) They typically have ZERO patience, common sense, or cognitive reasoning ability. 5) They think shit's funny or entertaining, that hasn't been funny to the rest of us in 15 years. 6) They're stubborn as -blam!-. There's more, but I'm out of ammunition for now. I'm sure something else will come to mind during the next lfg raid I'm stuck in. Lol. Obviously there's exceptions to these rules...just like there's a few adults that are -blam!-ing annoying too. But generalizations and stereotypes come from somewhere; they don't just get invented for shits and giggles to make someone mad.
