Is there any way that I can file a report on a player for being abusive to Bungie that also allows me to include a written description of the behavior?
Today I played with someone who took exception to my picking up the heavy ammo that he wanted, and responded with a constant stream of, "retard!" and "hurrr durrr," noises, even going so far as to drown my voice out of teamchat with, "hurr durr," anytime I tried to speak. Now I understand that "retard" as an insult is a deeply entrenched part of the basement-dweller-gamer culture, and usually let the errant one slide, but between how intolerably annoying this guy was being with it and the fact that I have a nephew with Down Syndrome, I'm frankly pretty pissed off.
I pay for both Destiny and Xbox Live out of the rather small income I have as a recent college grad, and I don;t mind that at all because I love this game and playing it helps me relax and escape the stress of the rest of my life. Encountering someone like this player completely ruins the experience for me, stressing me out, making me angry, and completely preventing me from enjoying my game.
From the Xbox Live Code of Conduct: "Do not harass, abuse, bully, spam, scream at, threaten or stalk other users or encourage other players to do so."
and...
"Do not create or share any content that is offensive or discriminatory; that advocates discrimination, hatred, or violence; or that promotes organizations devoted to those purposes based on considerations of:
Race
Ethnicity
National origin
Language
Gender
Age
Disability
Veteran status
Religion
Sexual orientation or expression"
Now this seems a pretty clear violation of both of those and I have already reported this player to Microsoft. However I wanted to know if there was any way that I could also report this player and the details of his abusive behavior to Bungie? He broke numbers 1 and 2 on Bungie's list of Stuff that Sucks in their Code of Conduct.

7 RepliesEdited by Spawn: 12/19/2016 10:23:33 PMThe absolute best way to report these types of players to us is to use the game's built-in Report Player function. Once you do this, no further action is required on your part. You can learn about this feature here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12960 Bungie has also opened a thread for additional information here https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/126502065/0/0

1 ReplyOk silly question but were you in Crucible and you picked up heavy ammo without waiting for the others first? If so then sorry, but I would have been hacked off too as there is nothing more frustrating than when people do this. If it wasn't nt that than not sure what the scenario was?

4 RepliesI have run into this too, someone berating low scoring teammates. As far as I'm aware, all you can do is use the in-game reporting tool.

I suppose you could send a letter to bungie studios. But it sounds more lika Microsoft problem to me. You might be able to call their tech support and report it.

Hello there, Unfortunately, one the march is over and you've began a new one you may not be able to report them to Bungie. Let Microsoft investigate and hopefully justice will be served.
