What do you think about players who use their supers on one opponent?

Laughing so hard right now

There are those who think taking one one target is a good thing, but its not that hard to hit three targets, if you think so, you either suck with supers or are a coward. - Warlocks can use shatter to create three nova bombs that cover a wider area and give them more range, cutting off any player's escape and kills them. I've done this by moving camera so the bombs spread out, and damn is it glorious when they players die quickly. - Hunters can use golden gun to nail three targets easily, all you have to do is aim and fire. - Titans are better off using their fist of havoc on multiple targets as when you use it on a single one, your wasting a perfect AoE skill. Multi-kills are your best chance for the best possible score, ignoring that won't get you too far; and not using a super to do it? Those are the best moments to get them and yet all i'm hearing here are complainers who'd rather be a coward and only take out a single target. That my friends is a coward who doesn't want to take one for the team and only thinks of themselves. You can dislike this topic all you like, but it won't change the fact that you can't even use your super properly. All you get from me is a facepalm and i say, "My god, what the -blam!- is wrong with you?"

  • With my nova bomb sometimes waiting for more enemies to gather makes me forget I have a super

This is my last post in this thread. If your situational awareness is so high, that you can create massive opportunities endlessly to use your super on huge crowds why aren't you using that awareness to kill more people with your gun?

    • I think that people use one super when they panic, if your at close range and out of shotgun ammo its a quick and easy way to kill somone rushing you with a shotgun. (I think its ok when you super one person who is I using theirs)

      • It depends on the situation Like if one guy on the other team on a kill streak with a HMG I'm going super their ass all day as stopping them with heavy can win or lose the game for your team. To end other supers is well worth a solo super kill as well.

Took out five people yesterday with fist of havoc. Half a second after they picked up heavy. Haha Also used my super to ensure I don't die against a single person. I don't care, you died I didn't. That's preferable really as in the time you saved your super for the perfect opportunity (my phone changed that to orgy but I corrected it haha) I've had yet another super with my high intellect build.

        • It depends on the situation, better to use three super in one game than hold on to it for the perfect moment only to use one. It depends on your build and how quick you can get it again. Fop to shut down a supering enemy is smart just to stay alive not so much, unless on a mark of the unbroken 😉 Wise to hold on to it about 30 sec out from heavy ammo and go get the other teams or get them as they pick it up so your team have heavy but they dont.

Again, kd isn't hugely important. But damn. You are rocking 0.67. Zero point six seven. And you are telling people how to play the game.

Also on another note, I was quite worried about checking out your profile as I'm not great at crucible. But holy shit. You have a high opinion of yourself.

          • Depends on the situation. Blade dancer or gun slinger, yep, using. Other times it's a mistake. I think I'm getting several but it only gets one. Other times I get annoyed w someone and just want to slam them, solo or not.

I use my super on one person all the time. If you're constantly holding onto your super waiting for a cluster of enemies you're robbing yourself of another super use. I'd much rather kill only two people with two supers than wait around for two or more enemies to super. If I come across a cluster of enemies with my super, lucky me, but if I don't I'm not gonna wait around until that happens. tl;dr - holding onto a charged super for an extended period of time is more wasteful than using it on a single enemy, imo.

            • Take out a mobile super Take out heavy Deny heavy to one person and give myself heavy Trolling someone that you feel has put a vendetta on you (personal favorite) Protecting a killstreak Thought it was going to be a multiple kill Held the super for too long already It's rumble, multi kills are rare unless mobile super

I use foh on one person for a few reasons, 1 I'm low on health and on a kill streak 2 it's a bladedancer that could kill my entire team, ( or another super but blade dancer is most common) 3 if I'm slightly raging at one guy. 4 I need to secure a location ie heavy, control zone, salvage point. 5 somebody has heavy I can kill

                • Depends on the threat level. I will TOTALLY one-target someone who's been causing my team a lot of damage during the game. That or the annoying asshole who t-bags constantly.

                  • If I'm taking a contested point I will use FoH to kill one guy because aftermath will keep kill long after I take a slide shot to the knee or a few thorn rounds to the ass from a hunter. B on cauldron is a good example. I get so many post mortems from that map. My original use may be on one player but it is very beneficial to the team. If the other team is bad they will walk onto it and die, if they are smart they hang back leaving the control point out if their hands for a few seconds.

                    • I've used bladedance and golden gun to do nothing more than scare people before. In most situations I'll hold onto my super and use it when it's most effective. I'm not looking for a triple kill, I'm looking for when it's my last option, or when it's the weapon that wins the game.

                    • Plenty of good reasons to use a super on one person. -To shut down a super. I don't hear you mother-blam!-ers complaining when I keep that Bladedancer from butchering your ass. -To keep an enemy from capping a zone. "Hey, let's -blam!- up the spawns so that MAYBE the other team will all pile on top of each other and I can kill them all at once." -To keep my mother-blam!-ing heavy. I had two kill streaks yesterday that contained 12 machine gun kills each. Both were kept alive by burning my super on a shotgunner that had gotten the drop on me. But I guess saving it to kill more than one person was worth more than the extra machine gun kills. -To deny the other team from grabbing the heavy, or to neutralize them after they have pulled it. You're welcome, for all of the times that I have prevented a rocket from flying up your ass. -To piss off people like you. "OMG, he just used his super on one person, what a noob."

                    • When I use FoH on one person it's either because they have heavy, to prevent them from getting heavy, or to counter their super

                    • I kill as many people as I can with my Titan, but sometimes it makes sense to use it on one person.

                    • In my experience waiting so long to get that triple I end up holding on to supers for way too long. I find that using it almost as soon as I get it is more useful. If I get my super twice and kill 2 people both times that is much better then you holding it to get 3 kills. Feel me?

                    • Sometimes, the small plays just snowball to open big opportunities. Neglecting them can cost you the game. Control on Shores of Time. Scores are tied. You control C. Enemy has both A and B. Your team rushes in for B. Big firefight goes down. In the end, only you are left standing. B is now neutral and mere seconds from being yours. You are reloading your gun. Your health is regenerating at a snail's pace. For a split second, out of the corner of your eye... you spot something moving! It's that damn Hunter. You know the one. The same asshat that has been decimating your guys with blink/shotgun kills is coming in from A. You know he hasn't used a Super in a short while. He jumps in. What do you do?!? Letting him get the kill might mean the match since his friends will probably be over long before yours. Using that super of yours will put your team on a cozy camping stance for the remainder of the match. So, again... What do you do?!? See what I mean? It's always situational. Don't judge so quick.

                    • Depending on the player and the game type, using a super on one person isn't a bad idea. If another is using their super and you counter with yours.. Super well used. 2 of your teammates die in trials, 1 guy left.. Super for the round just to be safe. Super well used. Using your super when you have it is a good habit to get into.. Half the people wait for that "perfect time" to use it.. That they could have had 2 supers at that point.
