There are those who think taking one one target is a good thing, but its not that hard to hit three targets, if you think so, you either suck with supers or are a coward.
- Warlocks can use shatter to create three nova bombs that cover a wider area and give them more range, cutting off any player's escape and kills them. I've done this by moving camera so the bombs spread out, and damn is it glorious when they players die quickly.
- Hunters can use golden gun to nail three targets easily, all you have to do is aim and fire.
- Titans are better off using their fist of havoc on multiple targets as when you use it on a single one, your wasting a perfect AoE skill.
Multi-kills are your best chance for the best possible score, ignoring that won't get you too far; and not using a super to do it? Those are the best moments to get them and yet all i'm hearing here are complainers who'd rather be a coward and only take out a single target. That my friends is a coward who doesn't want to take one for the team and only thinks of themselves.
You can dislike this topic all you like, but it won't change the fact that you can't even use your super properly. All you get from me is a facepalm and i say, "My god, what the -blam!- is wrong with you?"
-
If i can save him from crying havoc or using space magic or way of the gun then definitely its a good trade in Control or Iron Banner even Clash i think it's good trade, kill me but save 2-3 of my team members.

But if its just for the lolz, I get it, but a bit of salt will follow that fist of panic or nova bomb.

1 ReplyIf I'm rushing to save our control point and I didn't reload, I'll fist of panic.

I say Other. I'm like," what did I do to you "?

3 RepliesEdited by Dano2point0: 7/30/2015 1:38:29 AMThere is nothing cowardly about using every means at your disposal, including your Super, to take out the enemy whether it's one or three. Are you patiently going to wait and "take one for the team" again and again until the opposing team congregates to roll out the red carpet for a charging Titan? If perfect conditions have to be met before a Titan can use his/her Super then they could be waiting the entire round, while the opposing team is using theirs. Also, experienced players don't fight standing on top of one another, and will easily gun down a charging Titan if they have a line of sight. I've died plenty just trying to get in range. Sometimes the element of surprise against a single enemy is all you have. No shame in that.
-
1 ReplyFor me, I use it when I get it in order to build another. I have the Bad Juju and every kill helps build your super. If I wait for a chance to hit more than one enemy, that may be one or two supers I will lose over the course of the game. It is all about trying to get as many as I can.

1 ReplyAbout the only time I super one person is if its a Sunsinger who just self res'd or an Arc Blaster.

FoH is like a Nova Bomb that's more suicidal. And less effective. So naturally it gets reserved in order to counter supers, preserve kill streaks or as a panic move, normally which all only involve one aggressor. Nova Bomb really shouldn't be used on a single target unless to counter super. It's kind of too slow to preserve streaks and is actually effective at multi kills, so a single kill is a waste here. Defender can't kill, but you can be a distraction, entice people into the Bubble of Death and kill that way or be a source of orbs and/or buffs. No real relation to the topic here though. Sunsinger is complex. It can be used on a single person but that's if you run the Self Res perk and decide to revenge them or get them back after their super. Or you can run Radiant Skin and play kind of normally, only you make orbs on kills and are tanky. It can work, but it depends. Golden Gun and Bladedancer are definitely wastes on a single target. IF, that single target is the only target. Activating Golden Gun or BD to take out an approaching BD, Sunsinger or Defender on their lonesome counts as countering a super. But since these supers are designed to kill, not achieving more kills is a waste of their potential as its a lot easier than with other supers. Quick summary - you can activate in response to a lone target, but must continue on and get more kills to not consider it a waste.

Only do it when up against another super or groups that and people who blink shotgun me or rush with shotgun hate that crap
-
1 ReplyI threw a grenade behind an object I think I scared the shit out of a Titan cuz he FoP nothing.
-
All i can think of when i get suppered is why me?
-
I play voidlock in crucible and always try to save my bombs for heavy ammo so I can take the whole team, other times I will use it include: Titan bubble I hate those things, blade dancer I hate them things too, if I see whole team on a point then it's getting used. Most of the time it is pretty pointless using your super on a single target. But I do feel that there are times when hitting a single target was the best thing you could do for instance trading your super to stop a blade dancer tearing through your team and as I said before destroying a Titan bubble so he can't control a point. I don't think it's the most efficient use of your super to hit one target but sometimes it's a fairly effective use of it, especially if you are trading for opposition super. It sounds to me like you think kills is the be all and end all, but using supers tactically against single targets may not reap instant rewards but your team may still benefit in the long run.

1 ReplyIt's always one of those things that make you say "Really???" But whatever you gotta do to tack points up on the board :)
-
Its said if you want the move to be more effective, try hitting your opponent as soon as their about to touch the ground. I've tried this and it works, but i guess that was well known by now.

10 RepliesEdited by Novastone: 7/11/2015 10:10:09 PMUnless that person is countering another person's super or trials if not waste of a super it just really depends on the situation in game.
-
1 ReplyTrials it makes all the difference. It's nothing to get mad about I'm always aware of supers I play as a hunter so I can't really panic super instantly as the animation takes time so I like to make sure that titan used his super so he doesn't smash me out of mine ha As for Warlocks I just gotta beat them to the punch with gg and wait for that fool to do I can put him down again. Supers are suppose to be fun nothing to be mad about.
-
It depends. I've held on to my super long enough to get a new one using that logic, but in most of those cases I didn't really need it anyway. I've also used it to kill one enemy to preserve a killstreak or to hold a capture point. Like a wise man once said "It's your (super), use it when you need it!"
-
Yes it's annoying but rather that then my whole team.
-
I use them as I get them doesn't matter to me. Even in a game where I'm dying more than killing I get 2-3 supers np.
-
2 RepliesPlaying combined arms. Big open moon map. Sniping get a headshot or two, see a Titan...aim...fire! Body shot he's alive! TITAN SMASH! Me wtf? Shoot again get the headshot. He was near nothing not even teammates that he may have thought were enemies. This just made me laugh so hard.
-
1 ReplySomeone smart would realize that the more frequent you use your super that faster you will regain it. People saving their supers for multi kills or best case scenario are just holding on to supers and will maybe use one or two a game. I use my super immedietly upon regeneration and I end up getting about 3 or 4 supers a match.

Edited by Cass La'Roux: 7/11/2015 7:44:20 PMI thank you for viewing me as the only worthy target of your wrath.

I laugh every time I get killed by one guy using fist of panic

2 RepliesEdited by Tylerch11: 7/2/2015 8:27:18 AMBasically, if is a 'reactive' one-kill Super then it is okay. Reactive meaning it shuts down someone else's Super, saves you from death, preserves your kill streak, saves a Capture Point, etc. However, if you are that Striker Titan that uses FoH on one guy when their back is turned to you, you suck the d.
-
I just assumed they either panicked, thought more enemies were around the corner, etc.
-
5 RepliesYou use more supers per match the more you use em. Hunters super guarantee then 3-6 kills. Warlocks and titans the same but only when people bunch up which only happens in control, when heavy ammo appears, and salvage. So waiting for people to bunch will waste your time to gain another super and a higher score so we're forced to use it on one person. This is why hunters have better supers for pvp. They can roam around the map getting multiple kills. But when TTK gets here, hunters won't be the only ones anymore.
