Well Grimoire isn't true skill, but you do have to kill a certain amount of enemies, find ghosts, use different guns, and play different game types to unlock the score, as well as kill Guardians in the Crucible. The higher the score usually means more time invested which translates to a higher skill level.

Well if you read what I said, I clearly used the word 'usually' Take Any sport, the more you play it the better you get. It's the same with destiny. The more you play it the higher your grimoire. It's a sign of experience. Now granted some people with high grim will be bad in the same way that some people can play football every day and still suck at it. But the general rule is the more you play something the better you get. So you know someone with high grim that is bad at the game! Well by your logic that means everyone with high grim is bad. Idiot.

High grim means lots of time played. Lots of time played means experience. The more experience the better the player. You can't get good at something without playing it.
