1 ReplyInteresting... So they're going to have these "Year Two" releases every game... Good to know. Also interesting to see Micro transactions were in the plans from the jump.

1 ReplyActivision is nothing but a power hungry, money grubbing, whore of a company that just completely -blam!-ed a game that could've possibly been the best game ever
-
4 RepliesThe contract looks a lot one sided, in Activision's favor. I did notice that Activision is not solely responsible for prices, it's mutual agreed by both. I would almost think Activision is purposely destroying destiny to gain ownership of the title.

3 RepliesIts called kick starter, go fund me. How stupid are you guys? You had ample number of fans. Activision can tell you to do anything....

23 RepliesEdited by Ge0rd1eb4lls: 6/26/2015 7:37:34 PMI'll keep these TLDR. Point 7A.4 - Activision have a responsibility to ensure support and content is comparable to other AAA games. That includes pricing. Part 7A.4 - Activision will distribute products on a WORLDWIDE basis - the Red Bull fiasco may be a breach of contract. Part 7A.14 - All bungie employees get 2 games / content released by Activision for FREE each year. Part 8.3 - they're tentatively looking into creating a Marathon game! Part 8 (general) - no employee is allowed to work on ANYTHING else, not even projects on their own time. CORRECTION - that is, until Destiny 3 (they're planning 4) has been released to Activision, and Activision automatically get first refusal on ANY content or ideas. 2ND CORRECTION - Until Destiny 2 is released, AND Activision have made 375 million from Destiny, then Bungie can't create ANYTHING. (Part 8.4) Part 10.3 - Bungie gets 2.5 million if Destiny reaches a score of 90 on gamerankings.com (70%, so no bonus!) 11.3 - Bungie gets periodic bonuses as the money made for Activision increases past certain thresholds. 13.1 - VERY IMPORTANT. Activision must work with and manage all press releases, advertising, PR etc. 14.1.1 - Activision and anyone else can't say shit about what they do with Reach once it hits 295 million made. Part 18 - Destiny 2 hits fall 2016. 19 - Activision gets first refusal on ANY extension to the Destiny universe after the 10 year plan.

Looks like reasonable and regular terms to me.

Bump for truth

1 ReplyNice Now if someone can go through that and find how badly gamers will be getting screwed over for the next ten years that would be great. I'm on my phone and that link is super small print.

3 RepliesEdited by dakota 712: 6/26/2015 7:26:07 PMThis shows that bungie is held by the nuts by activision
-
Dam. Did activision include the lube for free in that contract or did they get the first refusal on that also?
-
Welp, Destiny is fućked.

7 RepliesThis isn't meant as an insult to the OP, so please don't take it as such. This is a commentary on the state of affairs between the two corporations. The contract is the same as every other one of the same nature. No one should be surprised by the terms. It's all common sense and regular practice. Google search for a template contract of this nature and you'll find one to fill in with whatever names you want minus the small nuances such the reference to Reach.

Yet bungie still signed it

1 Replyim interested in the costumer support part,i dont understand what it means by for other AA Caliber interactive software entertainment but the idea is- -is the current customer support with no phone number or direct contact is provided. support here is minimal. according to this contract are they inline or violating it? the people deserve real costumer support contract says-
activision will be responsible for providing costumer support for the products in a manner that is customary for other AAA caliber (or equivalent )interactive software entertainment products published by activision
6 RepliesPoint 6.5 - WHAT. "Should Activision electronic to exercise the Activision Completion Right, Bungie shall deliver all necessary source code for the Licenced Product Intellectual Property to Activision as soon as practicable after written request therefore." If the game is dying, the fans are turning or Activision do not like where the game is headed, they can end the agreement, citing a " Critical Risk" incident, which Kotick gets the deciding call on, and they can grab the lot. No questions asked. What the -blam!-.

3 RepliesA tl;dr version is EXTREMELY necessary.
