Question for People Who have Gone Flawless
When you are playing normal crucible, why do you still insist on using the same Thorn/ Last Word + Shotgun load out?
Apparently you guys are the "best of the best" so to speak, so why do you still rely on your overpowered weapons while facing off against scrubs in normal Crucible.
If you truly were good enough to go flawless in the most challenging PvP Playlist in the game, how come you can't succeed with weapons other than Thorn/TLW/ Shotgun?
Maybe it's cuz you are only good because of those weapons......

Edit: Haha! Just made some flawless nerd quit a Skirmish match by using an uncommon pulse rifle and an uncommon sniper from the Gunsmith.

I went flawless with a combination of thorn/sniper (depending on the enemies load out) but then I used my salvation state scout, and ice breaker and completely dominated the out side =]. Huge props to the two guys I was with though. Best team I've played with since the games released!

In my mind, I need to practise with my Osiris weapons to make me better with that load out. Therefore, I use them in crucible most days. I personally use whatever I like.. I went from TLW to legendary pulse rifles, hand cannons, etc. I like to change it up. Tonight my group went flawless using 2 Red Deaths and the other guy Thorn or TLW. Red Death is really a nice weapon to use against Thorn/TLW.

Not all flawless actually went flawless. Some scrubs got carried so don't be proud about making one guy quit cause you're garbage and he's twice as garbage

Probably because they're a bunch of scrubs that want to prove something. This is coming from an ex Thorn user too. I've been entering the Crucible with my Suros nowadays (about a week now) and still manage to do good. Just now practicing with the NLB, once I get that thing down pact it's going to be even more fun.

Take every fight seriously. Personally I use the Adept Scholar (mythoclast if I'm feeling saucy), old Felwinters and Truth.

If I'm facing a bunch of last round sniper dicks, I'll use the thorn for the simple fact that it makes it harder for them to aim when you hit them. Other than that (and maybe Thorn-revenge) I use hawkmoon. I may switch to last word if the map is small enough, but not usually.

if you're racing cars and own 3.....which will you drive, the fastest or the slowest? same goes here. bungie is the problem, they are who provide unbalanced guns, players just take advantage of it

I have no difficulty playing against a couple of Thorn users, I went flawless a few weeks back where 7/9 teams we played were all using Thorn. I understand why players use the Thorn in trials, its because its the best weapon right now. But Im sorry, players who religiously use the best gun in the game in every single game mode are just ridiculous.

Got to agree with this guy, like sure i use thorn and shit like that in trials and iron bannana, but i dont realy touch it unless someone on the other team does to. Seeing this kinda crap in regular crucible is disgusting and all the players who think they are good for using it need to die in a hole, because if i see anyone using weapons of this variety in regular crucible im going to shit all over you and drink your tears from my chalice made of dismantled and melted down tlw and thorn.

Another of these posts. Get over it. People will use whatever weapons are most OP. Learn to get good with them or stop playing trials if you're too shit with Hand Cannons/Shotguns.

1 ReplyWhat's the point in using weaker weapons to let the enemy have a advantage over you. I use shotguns and snipers but mostly shotguns because the majority of the crucibles charted arena are close combat zones. The taken king is looking to change that.

Also when weapons are OP people are going to rely on anything they can get. Met this kid in salvage last night who thought he was the shit because he was ranked like top 500 on XBL. Wanna know how he did it? He has played Crucible. A shit ton. Like more than I have ever seen anyone play. He had like a 1.07 k/d with like 60,000 kills and almost as many deaths. Honestly thought it was hilarious when he tried to call me a scrub. He had like 20,000 shotgun kills. Hahaha
