How does a non-34 character best prepare for Trials?
I bought the DLC recently, and while I'm not very good, I'm not THAT bad either...I've been craving a of the Helm of Exile for the Titan for the LONGEST time. I want it so bad, but I'm also too afraid to go into Trials because of what people have said about it.
I've made some friends who are pretty solid, but I myself have never played a game of ToO. I don't want to weigh them down or be a hindrance.
What would you recommend for a Trials amateur like myself? I know communication's gonna be a huge thing, but what else?!

Don't worry about level too much, you do and receive 1% more damage per level, or 1 damage per level, either way its not bad, The first time I went flawless my team was all 33s. Trials depends heavily on teamwork and not running into the open with a shotgun trying to get a kill. Good luck to you and your team.

The level you are and the damage your weapons do barely have any effect at all. Its blown way out of proportion by people.

3 RepliesThanks for all the help fellas! After I finally found myself a solid team with good friends we ended up going 8-3! After many trials...and error, we found success. We were all 33s, and we managed to dish it out with the best of them! Didn't get much, but I enjoyed it despite the try-hard tactics we'd run into!

5 Repliesif your somewhat of a noob and you need to level out the playing feild by using nooby things to get better do this- use a fist of panic i mean havoc. Use thorn, lightning grenades, thorn, shoulder charge, any rocket launcher with G&H. And found verdict, or matador 64, felwinters lie, or party crasher +1 Thats literally the noobiest setup i can think of. enjoy. oh and just SPAM shoulder bash

I have no idea. The 33 I ran with used a basic sniper that drops from crucible and the queens pulse rifle. Did pretty good. Went flawless with him too. He has only played for 6 days lol

10 RepliesDon't. Not only will everyone else be level 34, they'll all have maxed weapons and know what they're doing. Even one level below is going to put the odds heavily against you, and there's no point. It's not to hard to get to max level. Trials is designed for players as an end game activity. Come prepared.

Honestly there's not a big difference being a 33 vs 34. Went 9-1 in the first week as a 33 with another 33.

Do a 34 PoE, get an Etheric light and get to level 34. I've never done ToO but that would be my guess.

Step 1, get to level 34 Step 2, get decent PvP weapons Step 3, actually play it and learn from your losses rather than giving up

People who say they are flawlesss with 31 / 32 might have done it first werk but now, sorry but you got no hope. 34 only with max weapons and be in the top 10% of pvp players otherwise you are just cannon fodder. This is now hardcore (700+) Hours player mode. Or you must be a jedi of fps other than that dont bother, pride comes with a massive ToO fall!!!!! Edit: yeh sorry apparently i have been really narrow minded. Its really easy 9-0 no worries just need a little practice and good teamwork. But thorn would help. Happy ;) Just a footnote ;) i only get to maybe 2 runs at trails per weekend due to work and family commitments, and our team is good destiny players but have struggled with trails after 1st week and not got past 4 wins. So of any of the people who commented and said they flawless all the time and its not that hard want to show me how its done i would be happy to do a run with you and you can validate your point and prove me wrong, and i will puplicly apologise for my stupidity. Thanks

Use thorn, blink, shotgun, and sniper with final round and you'll win every time!

Good teammates mines were good for two weeks, and now they're trash. Never trust players who want gear rather than being competitive. I've spent three weeks losing because of bad playing teammates.

Only problems in trial are unbalance weapons, lag god there is the lag and its an odd one, cheater cheater everywhere have had 3 matches against than there is alway 2 or 1 you can kill but not the others so they just sits where the flag spawns :(. Thats all really.
