Anyone else sick of CQB PVP?
As the title states.
I am pretty over the fact that every single map in crucible in close quarters. It's either a hand cannon or shotgun that people carry around. Granted there are people that use pulse rifles and scout rifles, but I feel that most of the time everyone uses HC and shotty. I use it myself because I fight fire with fire.
Why were the larger maps moved to combined arms? Granted, I stopped playing shortly after Crotas End came out so I wasn't playing when they made all of the changes.
Does it bother anyone else that all maps are extremely small? Do you feel Bungie should bring back the larger maps which would add more variety instead of playing the same 5-6 levels that they have? Does anyone miss playing the older maps? (yes I know that they are still played but a lot of the time it's TDB maps).

Edit 1: a lot of people are stating that the maps would be better if it wasn't flooded with objects
Edit 2: a lot of people are saying, "play combined arms". You don't say?? If only my original post asks, "why did they move the larger maps to combined arms?"

My two favourite maps are Pantheon and the Mercury Vex styled one (forgot the name sorry) because they are very similarly sided while not being truly symmetrical, and they allow for most-all types of play style. The rotating semicircles on the Mercury one even add a cool aspect of a dodging/chasing dynamic.

The New TTK maps are way more spacious. You can use any weapon along with the HoW maps.

2 RepliesI agree that alot of maps are CQB but it makes snipers actually more skilled these days. Instead of the old bastion/first light campers.

I need more long range sniper fights :(

I prefer mid-long range fire fights...only time I'm in a CQB is if I'm pushing aggressively when the timing is right or someone rushes in my face.

Totally agree. For now, Combined Arms is where it's at. Not a lot dipshits in there having side-by-side contests to see whose Thorn-sized little dick is bigger.

Love it personally I stay in open areas as the run at me with their tiny hand cannons and I take em out with the vex

I now only play crucible for iron banner or combined arms I don't even touch trials anymore:(

I miss the big sniper maps. Loved playing a completely different loadout for those. Changed the game up.

I don't normally mind it. Ever since the Skolas update, though, I've been experiencing significant lag within the playlists. Almost like I'm playing in an IB event. I'm sure it's not people cheating (at least not all of them). I've just been having some awful luck with it lately.

I usually use a low impact high rate of fire pulse rifle for close quarters and a sniper for long range on my warlock and it's worked really well

If u dont like the CQB AND you stopped playing dont post in the forums all you do is get people ticked off by haveing the forum posted with people who probally suc at PVP in the first place so they have to complain 4. if you want to play combined arms its up like every other week so boom there you go. 5. by older maps you mean when first light and bastion where in the normal play list, ya i miss them doesnt mean im going to complain about them 6. While reading this i relised something. have you played PVP lately? its pretty obvious more and more people are useing snipers now even on the small maps and also since ToO came out //THE MESSANGER// is probably the most used gun in pvp ive seen so dont go making acquisitions about things you dont do.

Because the majority of players are shit at long ranged combat (Basically they didn't want to snipe/scout rifle and only wanted to use Auto Rifles/Hand Cannons/Shotguns) so Bungie removed all the larger maps to cater to them.

3 RepliesI really wanted another sniping map. maybe then some skill will be involved in going flawless, instead of just facing tons of blink shotgun/thorn. the sniping aspect of the game is a lot harder then shooting someone with Felwinters imo. don't get me wrong I'll use thorn and a shotgun, but that's because that's what's almost required to go flawless, you do what you have to to win. however, I'd greatly prefer to just snipe with my old longbow
