The Secret Of : Oh Teh Noes, I am Asplode! Bomb Explosion Kill? How Bungie?
What is the process of getting one? Almost every kill you get with the bomb is labeled as a guardian kill, so what are the steps that are necessary to getting a bomb explosion kill?
Shishka answered one of my questions in the optimatch forum, and he said to get a kill with the bomb explosion you have to detonate the bomb. A little more info would have been helpful, but oh well. At least Team Melee is coming back!

Without inflicting previous damage these come back as gaurdian kills.

I did play a few custom games, and nothing came back positive. Alright, I did a little research at work and I looked at all the maps (minus Foundry) that I have died from a bomb explosion kill: High Ground Sandtrap Standoff Pit Valhalla I then looked at every neutral assault or one bomb game that I ever played on those maps and no one has ever been credited with a bomb explosion kill in any of those games.

Oh yeah. One thing that hasn't been mentioned is that it seems impossible to kill someone on a vehicle with the bomb going off. But yeah that game I just quoted should give us a big clue as to how to get this. Next time Grifball shows up we must assemble teams to get a plasma cannon kill.

I doubt the guy shot a vehicle, which then splattered 4 people and earned him an overkill. [/quote] This game is the key. This guy didn't plant the bomb but had 4 bomb explosions kills. It was on Standoff. Maybe you have to damage the warthog a lot and then splatter it into people then let the bomb finish them off.

I get double - triple kills in Grifball all the time with the bomb. Halo just can't always interpret what kind of kill it was. Once someone sniped a fusion coil that was behind me, and it counted as a suicide.

i tried a few different things with punksta and all we could get were guardian kills.

I doubt we'll get an answer from Bungie. They want us to fight to find things like this out. It gives us more of a reason to play.
