The Secret Of : Oh Teh Noes, I am Asplode! Bomb Explosion Kill? How Bungie?
What is the process of getting one? Almost every kill you get with the bomb is labeled as a guardian kill, so what are the steps that are necessary to getting a bomb explosion kill?
Shishka answered one of my questions in the optimatch forum, and he said to get a kill with the bomb explosion you have to detonate the bomb. A little more info would have been helpful, but oh well. At least Team Melee is coming back!

[url=http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=667521214&player=Pshunk]"The Game"[/url]. First off, he was able to get an overkill will the bomb explosion. More interesting than that is that they were all from the grave. The match he played was one bomb (not neutral assault) on Valhalla. He was on the offense and did not plant the bomb. If you look at the game viewer you can see a cluster of his kills which looks like it's at the back of the base on the ramp that goes down below (by the sniper rifle). Looking at this case and previous casses, there's something we missed. What could harm 4 players and kill them all from the grave? The first thing that comes to mind is a grenade. Pshunk launched it, was killed by a gaggle of Spartans and somehow resulted in an overkill bomb explosion. I offer an alternative. What if it was caused by a power drain? Pshunk used the power drain, was killed off by the other team but brought down everyone’s shields; the bomb exploded simultaneously detonating the power drain. KaBLAM! I am ASLODE! There are obviously a few variations of how this could actually happen, but this makes some sense to me. A couple other examples previously posted like[url=http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=38726514&player=Milkbark] Milkbark's[/url] and [url=http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=558416031&player=H3WM%20aSSUAGe]H3WM 4SSUAGe's[/url] also indicate that they were not the bomb planter. The use of fusion coils can also be ruled out seeing as though all these maps do not have coils in the detonator base. The use of vehicles is still possible due to all of the maps containing warthogs and mongooses (mongeese?), but is becoming increasingly unlikely. I briefly tried to drive a mongoose up to the detonator on an elephant with Punkska183 and it was F'n hard; a warthog simply cannot make it up there. Additionally a warthog will not make it below in valhalla, only a mongoose. One again all of these maps have power drains that could have been used. Another piece of equipment which may have been used is the bubble shield. This once again makes an appearance on all of the maps. Is it possible to contain the explosion with in a bubble shield? Could this result in a bomb explosion kill? I think equipment is a strong possibility to look into, what do you guys think?

what did kasaiken do? I haven't tried anything new. I'm just going to start playing a bunch of big team and objective and see what happens.

hey guys, im back... i see we lost kasaiken, oh well. have you had any luck punkska???? I have been playing lots of objective, trying different things but stil just getting guardian kills and such. anyways keep searching, send me a message if you wanna try somethin else, i know we didn't try a whole lot on highground that day but it seems like youve been tryin new things lately.

Dunno. I would think with how much objective I play that I would have one but I dont.... :-(

maybe you can get the bomb kill by shrapnel from the bomb instead of the actual explosion, whatever it is it's about luck since so few people have it

I tried a few things on foundry with vehicles and tripmines and such but no luck. I'm guessing it is somehow vehicle related though since 99% of them from what I've seen have been on Valhalla, Sandtrap, and Standoff. I have a thread going on Halocharts.com as well and need to find someone who has a game where they saved the video so we can see exactly how it happened.

Me and Joel tried very hard to do this but it seemed like the vehicles would purposely miss us. It would go a different way each time. If it's that hard to do in custom games, think how hard it would be to do in actual matchmaking.
