You all know about the PS3,
You all know about the xbox 360,
you know that Xbox 360 has Halo,
So here are my questions,
1.Why do we have to pay more just to play online on a game like halo?
2.If you can play for free on the PS3 why do people still play on the Xbox 360?
3.Both systems have the same graphics and memory storage so why is halo only for Xbox?
4.Why should we pay to play online wile we are already paying to use the internet?
5.What makes the Xbox 360 so popular if you have to pay more then you have to when the PS3 is free for online gameplay?
My Comments:
1.I dont understand why we have to pay-to-play when we bought the game, system, and controler.
2.The only difference with the Xbox 360 and PS3 is the outside look and that the PS3 offers free online gameplay
3.I see no problem putting halo 3 in for the PS3.
4.We pay for electricty, so why pay $10 plus your electricty bill?
5.Because it has Halo 3 *proably thats why its so popular*
In my sugestion i would rec the PS3,
1.Free online gameplay
2.Free demos
3.Blue-Ray
4.Free Playstation Network
Read this first THEN put your comments..
and please dont flame or any of that in this post.
Thank you.

my friend has a PS3 but i don't like any of the games he has, once you play the PS3 games for an hour it tends to get very boring (except for Little Big Planet). I bought the 360 just for halo 3 and i'm glad I did and i don't care if I pay 60$ a year, if u do the math it's 5$ a month. Halo 3 has the best online experance as well, where else can you jump off custom made buildings killing zombies one by one and where else can you play a custom map that has tons of traps and perils.
Posted by: asayboy No you aren't breaking rules but you are starting a flame war. You have to understand that both companies are trying to make money, and if someone wants to pay money for services rendered then they, the consumer, can do what they want. All you are doing is dumping on a company in favor of another, that has nothing to do with Halo 3 or Bungie studios. Good luck with your future flames.
hypocrite is hypocriticle

gamertag: [none] user homepage: more posts by this user last post: 02.02.2009 1:12 PM PST ___________(˜˜˜||˜˜˜˜||˜˜˜˜˜)_∏_______ l ---------____.`=====.-.~:________\___|================[oo] |_|||___/___/_/~```|_|_|_|``(o)----------<) Let me put this in words everyone can understand The Xbox 360 is more powerful than the PS3. Microsoft overclocked the Xbox 360 so much in the first couple years, it lead to the mass RroD. It also ment that the systems ran faster than the PS3. But then they had to underclock it so slow down the RroD's, and it worked. Not as many Xbox 360's are getting the RroD anymore, and their still faster than the PS3's in terms of Graphics, Processing and RAM speed's. Now, the reason why PSN is free, and XBL isn't is that the Playstation 3 is $500, the Xbox 360 is as low as $100 now. $250 - $300 for the Pro bundle (Recommended) Since the Xbox 360 is less money, they have to make all that money back. Thus, you have to pay for Xbox LIVE. Plus it brings more features, and actual support / trouble shooting. The PS3 is laggy, big and bulky, it has less features, and is more money. That means less sells for the PS3, and less sells for game developers selling their games on the PS3. Halo 3 made way more money than the entire MGS franchise (the PS3's best exclusive game). So in short, there's why you have to pay for Xbox LIVE: More features, support, less laggy games (depending on where you live), more players, and better performance. And by the way, Microsoft owns the copyright to Halo. It will NEVER be on the PS3. EVER NEVER say NEVER! Microsoft's stock price was $17.83 at the close, if I'm reading it right. Sony's at $20.98. Ok, not too much of a difference, but, hey, that tells you something, they need money, both of them do! Someone said that Microsoft's in debt? Very Interesting............ Why the hell did you guys revive this thread? Seriously read the past posts before reviving an idiotic thread like this. Plus we all know the 360 is better so shut up.

Basic marketing and corporate strategy seeks to deliver a unique experience. Multi platform might increase software sales but certainly not hardware. Examine the strategy of Nintendo - do you think the Wii would be as popular if all of their games were multi platform?

AND OTHER COMPANIES ARE WHAT YOU PAYING FOR ELECTRICITY AND INTERNET. BUNGIE DOES NOT COLLECT ALL THE MONEY FROM YOUR ELECTRICITY AND INTERNET BILLS!!!

XBL = cake PS3 free network = cake after i poop it out see the difference? they're both brown, but one tastes good!!!!
-
its only on 360 because PlayStation is a piece of crap and all the games suck on it except mgs4. Also you pay for xbox live because you get way more features than the PSN.

LOL free demos!!! The Xbox 360 gives free demos too! you forgot one thing too. when the 360 came out it was what $300 or $400? And it stayed like that for a couple of years. PS3 came out for like $700! And it dropped it's price to $300 in like 6 months! Let's see for a moment. I think Microsoft is getting better business than the creators of the playstation. Probably is Halo... The reason why halo is only for 360 is because Bungie partnered with Microsoft so that they could get a budget. Part of the deal was that Microsoft told Bungie to make Halo only for the 360. I think that is what happened. [Edited on 02.02.2009 6:08 PM PST]

And how many people did Microsoft just lay off? No, they're not making money, just like the rest of the Corporations out there. Don't believe me, look how Microsoft's stock is tanking, of course, that goes for everyone else too. Personally, I think it'd be good for the Halo series to be extended to PS3, after all, at the end of the day, Corporations are out to do one thing, make money. And money is the thing that both of them are needing. So, they both would make money off of PS3 users being able to play the Halo series on the PS3. Why? Keep reading......... No, I'm not a fanboy of PS3, or whatever that is, my brother has an XBox 360, looks good, plays very good, but you're not going to find many people wanting to plop down 2-3 hundred dollars just to play one or two games, well at least not nowadays anyway. Last year, possibly, but not now. As far as the Blueray technology thingy goes, well, quite frankly, let's face it, Sony owns it, Microsoft will need it to remain competative in the computer industry, "wait, it gets worse" (Halo), just wait until the Blueray DVD Burners come out in another few years, then where will Microsoft be? By the way, this isn't a flame starter thing, at least it's not ment to be, it's just common sense. Look at what happened with Hitachi and their HD-DVD (which XBox 360 depends on), sure they had good quality, but Sony had both quality and size capacity. It reminds me of Betavision and VHS, Beta had good quality, but, VHS had size capacity so you could do more, you do the math. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to do, all 3 Halo games could probably be put onto 1 Blueray disk, and be sold to PS3 users for like $100-$120 max. and they'd make a killing. Valve did the same thing with the Half-Life series, put the whole Series onto one Blueray, and still had room for more games on the same disk. So, don't knock PS3 (I didn't knock XBox), I have a feeling they're going to be around for a long time. [Edited on 02.02.2009 6:28 PM PST]

Why does is xbox live have better than psn? My brother owns a PS3 and I own an xbox for a long time we argued over what was better and we came to the conclusion is that with the xbox 360's premium edition comes with a microphone. Now you may feel this does not make a difference but with mics in the box more people have them, more people talk to their friends, more people can come up with tactics. See what I am getting at.... Here is my view on why xbox live is better than psn,do not have to agree with it. Also please note that I have played a ps3 and so i can give a fairer ruling
Posted by: Brybrad 1.Why do we have to pay more just to play online on a game like halo? 1.I dont understand why we have to pay-to-play when we bought the game, system, and controler.
We all want Live to be free. But, I'm content paying £40 a year for an excellent service though.
Posted by: Brybrad 2.If you can play for free on the PS3 why do people still play on the Xbox 360? 2.The only difference with the Xbox 360 and PS3 is the outside look and that the PS3 offers free online gameplay
If people delve a little deeper, they'll realise that XBox has a large amount of good exclusive games compared to PS3. I can only think of Little Big Planet and MGS4 for PS3.
Posted by: Brybrad 3.Both systems have the same graphics and memory storage so why is halo only for Xbox? 3.I see no problem putting halo 3 in for the PS3.
Microsoft own the rights to the Halo series, and the XBox. It wouldn't be in their best interest to port it to the PS3. Not only that, but they would have to fund a port as the Playstation uses a different operating system. There are more details, but I know too little about programming to help much. Let's just say it took a whole team about a year to port Halo: Combat Evolved to the PC.
Posted by: Brybrad 4.Why should we pay to play online wile we are already paying to use the internet? 4.We pay for electricty, so why pay $10 plus your electricty bill?
Microsoft know people are willing to pay to use their service. Silver users still get access to demos and the like. It's not an unfair service in my humble opinion.
Posted by: Brybrad 5.What makes the Xbox 360 so popular if you have to pay more then you have to when the PS3 is free for online gameplay? 5.Because it has Halo 3 *proably thats why its so popular*
No. Because it has Halo 3, the Gears of War series, Call of Duty (though, so does the PS3) and a large assortment of other online games. And, once again, it's not an extremely large amount of money to play online.
Posted by: Brybrad In my sugestion i would rec the PS3, 1.Free online gameplay
We get a relatively cheap, reliable service.
Posted by: Brybrad 2.Free demos
We get them too.
Posted by: Brybrad 3.Blue-Ray
Who honestly cares about Blu-Ray? It's really slow for video games, and you have to install data onto your PS3 to make it run faster. Waste of time.
Posted by: Brybrad 4.Free Playstation Network
You already used that as a point. So, yeah. XBox 360 ftw! PS3 is teh suxx0r etc.
-
because playstation is teh -blam!-, and microsoft has a long relationship with bungie and i doubt we will see a bungie game for playstation any time soon
-
halo 3 was published by microsoft games studios why would microsoft let sony mooch off one of there games, one of the best selling games of all time. And the ps3 online does suck, thats why it's free
-
'Kay playstation network although free is terrible. 60 USD a year isn't bad at all considering all the privileges you get from XBL. Xbox has the best marketplace and community for its games and online multiplayer. PS3's blu-ray is a waste since I can just watch it on my Blu-Ray player? And the demos on the market place are free if you pay said 60USD a year.
