Best setup is, for any shotgun, Aggressive Ballistics, Shot Package, Reinforced Barrel, and Kneepads.
Edit: You can grt something else such as LitC or Final Round, but you're most likely still going to try and shoot from the same range you always do and those perks are less reliable. Kneepads allow you to get closer more quickly to someone who is shooting you with the Thorn/TLW, and slide around corners better.

^listen to this guy he knows what's up on shotties. Yes to knee pads and if you haven't learned how to use them you should because it's a very useful skill much like blink shotgun.
