6/24/15 Weekly Update Feedback

I feel like this is what Luke Smith is saying to everyone, because he got caught saying how he really feels about people complaining about the price of TTK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9u0EL_u4nvw In case you missed it, here's what was said:
Eurogamer: Can you see that some fans are confused that you're asking them to buy stuff they already own? Luke Smith: Yeah, I can totally empathise with those people. But the Collector's Edition is a pretty cool package for people who want to pursue that stuff. Otherwise, surely what you're saying is that you would want to buy them separately, right? Eurogamer: Well, yeah. I would rather do that - pay a few pounds or dollars or whatever - than spend money on things I already own. Luke Smith: [Laughs] Well, we have nothing more to talk about regarding your opportunity to spend extra money in Destiny, other than The Taken King and the three versions we've announced. ..... Luke Smith: You're feeling anxious because you want this exclusive content but you don't know yet how much you want it. The notion of spending this money is making you anxious, I can see it - Eurogamer: I do want them. I would buy them - Luke Smith: If I fired up a video right now and showed you the emotes you would throw money at the screen. Eurogamer: What I'm saying is that fan frustration is not because they don't understand the proposition. It comes regardless of how cool the exclusive content is. The frustration - and mine as a fan - is that the method of acquiring it requires me to re-buy content I bought a year ago. Luke Smith: [Long pause] It's about value. The player's assessment of the value of the content. ...
Regarding prices: The Taken King is horribly overpriced for those of us who bought Destiny Guardian Edition a year ago. TTK Collectors Edition: $80. Includes Destiny, DLC1, DLC2, DLC3 (TTK) Destiny Guardian Edition + TTK: $90+40 = $130. Is also Destiny, DLC1, DLC2, DLC3 (TTK) By the price logic, those who bought the game when it came out are getting f-ed over by the latest DLC. It should be free... Since Destiny, I don't think I can ever buy another Bungie title. Time and time again, they've tried to screw players, tell them how to play (remember auto rifles debuff twice?!), and basically saying they don't care about how gamers feel? I'm not paying for TTK, even if that means I never play the game I've spent a lot of time invested in, needlessly grinding to get my characters to a top tier. Oh well. If you feel the same, don't buy The Taken King. Tell them you're not going to fall for the same song and dance. Or not, but don't be surprised when they try to screw you again.
