Destiny: The Taken King = $59.99. So vanilla Destiny and expansion I and II are only worth $20....
Well I sure am glad I purchased the soooo limited Ghost edition on PS3 where my special edition ghost skin that has no stats and meager ship didn't even transfer with me when I bought a PS4 and re-bought Destiny for it.
But just to put this in perspective. The original Destiny: digital collectors edition that came with the expansion pass cost $89.99, and if you bought a standard Destiny and then the expansion pass or bought the expansions individually then you easily spent over $100 to play all the content. Destiny's expansion II House of Wolfs dropped not to long ago for $20 by itself.
So for only $60 all the new Destiny players are going to get what I've having to pay $140 for.... AND if they kick in an extra $20 they get exclusive Exotic class items that don't even exist in the game as of now that give them an EXP bonus!
Literally a year after release and y'all only value your own game with all it's content for $20.... ONE YEAR....... This is just pathetic....
Anybody else feel cheated? Betrayed? Annoyed?

1 ReplyI bought Destiny for the 360 used for $15. I also bought both expansions on the 360 that transferred to my Xbox One edition. Destiny's price dropped quickly. As do many games.

Its a year later? You've played it your over it. New players will do the same, most new players will probably be kids. Don't feel cheated youve played more than I have (one of your characters is at 14 days) Imagine paying a hooker $100 an hour now thats cheated : D

Its basically Destiny's Game of the Year version. MMO style games and expansion packs generally depreciates as time goes on. WoW is a great example. The vanilla game has been free for years, and the expansions also dropped in price drastically. You also got to remember that the player count in Destiny has gotten smaller and smaller as time goes on, so to get those players back they have to somehow make the game appealing for both returning and new players. Thusly the Legendary Edition was created, and IMO its both a good move on the companies and a steal for consumers.
