Ah wow sounds like you've had a pretty interesting career at least. What was so bad about EA then - the workload? Yeah. I'm actually a programmer so would be looking to get involved from that perspective. Guessing the market is pretty saturated at the moment though huh?

For programmers? You guys are in high demand. You would have plenty of options. Concept artist and molders? Sadly a very flooded market. It was 8 years ago so not sure if things have changed but. We had a open office floor plan but we were discouraged for talking to coworkers during work hours except on lunch etc. We couldn't listen to music at our desks or use head phones. I was a modeler at the time and was tasked with gray boxing stadiums by blue print in Maya. Was kinda cool tbh. But I was not told why I was working on it or what game(s) they were for. I wasn't aloud to talk about my job out side of work other than I worked for EA. I also wasn't aloud to talk to people from other departments about work. The non disclosure agreement made it so if I tried to find other work I couldn't work for a competitor making a game of a similar type as anything in EA's line up including games made by developers at other studios. EA makes many types of games so finding work after was next to impossible. So I took a community manger spot until the NDA expired.

Haha wow, that's good to know. Damn yeah that sounds pretty tough with EA, guessing that is a result of working for such a big organisation though? Think I'd prefer to work for a slightly different type of studio maybe though.
