Do u think bungie should bring back health packs in halo3:ODST?
I think they should. They add an extra ammount of diffuculty to the game.
But thats just me what are your thoughts?

Somewhere over at HBO, there is a link to some renders for health packs in Halo 3, they we're dropped of course, but there are renders and have shots of the contents of the health pack too. I don't know the link to them, Pop over to HBO and ask, someone will point you to the images.

They scrapped them because they scrapped health. You can still take a certain amount of body damage after your shields are down, but you can't see it. This happened in Halo 2... Your "health" recharges slowly or with your shields... I think there should be medic ODSTs in H3O that are your "health packs" so we can like almost get killed and the medic comes over and heals us...

i have a feeling ODST will have a health system like COD4 where after taking hits your screen gets red and overtime your health comes back. but i would love to see a good health system and health packs
Posted by: Teh Pwnage lol They don't need it because MC's armor has a new kind of shields.
* Biofoam Which is total BS, since biofoam doesnt heal, it only fills and numbs wounds. Dont base your arguments off of something you dont know anything about...

Since you don't play as a spartan it would be quite logic to have heath packs added back in, cuz the fact that health just come back (Like in MOH Airborne, mentioned above) is not very challegneing, and not very fun.
-
Well, since you don't accually play as a spartan in halo ODST i think health bars would be good, but only if used the right way, like those in MOH airborne if you don't loose a health bar completly it will recharge.

I disagree. One of the few things I see as improvements in the Halo sequals was the removal of health packs. I like regenrating health more - HOWEVER - the idea of invisible health, as in Halo 2 and 3, is stupid IMO. We should be able to monitor our health as it recharges just like our shields. The health should regenerate twice as slow. And maybe if you're taken down to red bars you'd need to find a health pack before you can have more health. And the fact that in H2 and H3, vehicle condition doesnt matter AT ALL. Not one bit. As long as the driver has health and shields, the vehicle will NOT blow up. I really hate how people say "Hey, lets swap warthogs, this one is about to blow up!" With one good change comes multiple broken aspects. Tsk tsk tsk.

It seems to be a new FPS thing: Get hurt, hide for awhile to get health back. The thing I hated about health packs were getting checkpoints at spots where there are no health packs at and in red, forcing me to take on hoards of enemies with crap health because there is no packet around. Or the lovely option of restarting the entire level. =/

The same question applies to why Bungie removed the HCE weapon animations. The Magnum melee, the PR overheat, the AR clip insertion and the Sniper's recoil stick thingy were epic.

yes and no it did make the game more difficult but it also made you too objective but i do think that there needs to be a better warning system of health on the other halo games
