Exotic weapons always get upgraded regardless of year.. Legendary weapons will be stuck at 365

everyone needs to calm themselves down until this is actually confirmed or denied. Its all speculation. I love my fatebringer, and am pleased to have it at 365, but it wasnt the end of the world when I couldnt get it to 365 either. The same will apply to any other weapon in my inventory including Gjallarhorn. I enjoy the game, and if my fav weapons become obsolete then I either adapt and move on, or find something else to play

Unless year 1 weapons are the best we will ever see, I don't want to have word of Crota or VoC for 10 years. If they are the best, don't expect me to stick around that long...

XD Luke smith in his interview spoke SPECIFICALLY on "wanting to show" or "have" a way to show his time he was in game when the hive knights were running around with swords..... And DeeJ is all about not spending time with things we earned WHEN we got them from those knights and hive. Bungie was all big on gear telling a story, Luke is all about wanting to be able to show he was there. And DeeJ is thinking it's boring to save what we earned from those moments. Morose. Maybe if Bungie had gear that was actually customized from the events they were earned from they'd TELL an f'n story, and if DeeJ gave a damn about what we earned and are our favorites we wouldn't have to leave those favorites behind. BOTH these dudes have no appreciation of out money (Luke specifically thinking we'd throw money for worthless emotes), and appreciation of our time (DeeJ stating keeping our favorite guns being boring) invested in earning and upgrading those items. Pretty non understanding group of reps Bungie has for this game. Bump if you agree.

This is pure speculation based off one [b]one single sentence[/b] that Deej said. The context of the interview doesn't even support that speculation. There were so many positive things to take away from that interview, and the only thing you morons took away was that single sentence that you took out of context and blew out of proportion....

Exotics will more than likely still be upgradable because Xbox is getting hawkmoon, monte, and fourth horseman.

I have yet to see anything confirming that nothing will be upgradable from year one, all I've seen is community speculation based off of words that were conveyed during an interview. Maybe I missed it, but all I heard Deej say was something like it would be boring to be tied to the same gun for 10 years, I didn't hear him say that it won't be possible to upgrade old guns to new max.

I think they just mean legendaries. I'm almost positive that exotics will be upgradable. If not then they'll have to introduce dozens of new exotics to make up for it. So I'm sure Monte Carlo, Hawkmoon and Fourth Horseman will drop at the new attack value.
