You've got an illogical argument right in your first point. None of the weapons you've listed actually kill faster than Thorn. In fact, if we're going by pure logical reasoning, there's pretty much no argument against Thorn being OP since all numbers point to it being significantly stronger than other weapons.

The other quantifiable factors like effective range, RoF, aim assist and forgiveness(number of shots/headshots you can miss while still achieving good ttk) also play a large role.

+ a damaging poison that stalls regeneration. I'd settle for the removal of the damage poison and instead keep the suppressed recovery time.
