"I love my car, but that guys same model car has some pretty sweet tyres. I want those tyres. I'm going to re-buy the car I already have so I can get me some of those sweet sweet tyres!" Said nobody ever.

Car was a little much but the metaphor stands fairly well. Offering an edition that was TTK+collector's editon digital content for like $50 would have been the easiest fix and all of this could have been avoided almost immediately. For some reason (I wonder what) they still want current players to double down and double the number of vanilla copies and dlc they sell. We'll see how well hardlining players works. Then there's red bull which could have been passable if it weren't for this and idk why they decided to push it now of all times. The 7/11 flyer is actually worse than the luke smith interview because it's completely true, we love lapping up digital content at a premium. If deej offers actually meaningful content for year one players. Cool. If he sells catch phrases like "value is in the eye of the player" or "your experiences this year were the real year one exclusives what about that loot cave guys" or the same "player feedback is important" then don't take it. I really hope it's not that.
