Dr. Halsey is talking to Auntie Dot (proof).*SPOILERS?*
*This is a repost from a topic I made on gamefaqs.
Honestly I don't know why there is so much debate over this, but here's some proof to hopefully quiet down some of the more ridiculous theories.

As you can see, the symbol representing Auntie Dot appears in this screenshot, and several times throughout the vidoc. How do I know this is Auntie Dot?

I think it's Cortana. In the book "The Fall of Reach" she asks Cortana to choose a spartan to be paired with. I'm pretty sure Cortana brings up his profile at the end instead of vocalizing his name. This would make sense also because Halsey said "Yes well, great minds do think alike" because it refers to Halsey choosing John to be a spartan as well as Cortanas' choice. //Also for people who don't know. Cortana's image and way of thinking is based of of Halsey. So it's funny how they both chose John in their decisions.// [Edited on 08.17.2010 3:25 PM PDT]
