See I used to think this but companies do this literally ALL-THE-TIME! Example Ford, Chevy, Dodge all do this with their performance cars almost every two years or so. You want the new faster mustang? You still have to buy another mustang and then pay more money for the extra features that come with it. Ultimately the choice to get it is up to you and how badly you want the new emotes or whatever. P.s and signing a petition to force a video game maker to provide you with an armor shader, sparrow, xp bonus, whatever is the most brattiest thing I've ever heard of.

  • Lol comparing what's happening here to buying a car is just plain stupid. Not even remotely the same.

  • Buying a new car is a whole lot different to buying the same game with an update attached to it. If you are not aware of it, games don't wear out like cars do.

  • Well most 16 yrolds or 20 yrolds can't afford a new mustang every year! And most reasonable people don't buy a new mustang every year cause it's not required to keep up whit the rest of the traffic! Besides cars are a luxury item for the wealthy, games are a luxury item for the average!

  • If you want it then you do! That's the whole damn point! He even says in the interview at E3 that it's about how valuable we see it and if we'll buy it based on that. clearly you don't see the value in it so you're not going to buy it. Problem solved. They're a business if you don't like what they sell don't buy it. I'm not saying I'm buying the $80 DLC but the $40 one isn't unreasonable at this point if you really enjoy playing the game as I do.

  • But it's not their business model that bothers me, it's that Bungie takes us for granted that we're dull, ignorant, mindless buyers. They don't see us as their community who loves their work no, we're just living wallets!
