See I used to think this but companies do this literally ALL-THE-TIME! Example Ford, Chevy, Dodge all do this with their performance cars almost every two years or so. You want the new faster mustang? You still have to buy another mustang and then pay more money for the extra features that come with it. Ultimately the choice to get it is up to you and how badly you want the new emotes or whatever. P.s and signing a petition to force a video game maker to provide you with an armor shader, sparrow, xp bonus, whatever is the most brattiest thing I've ever heard of.

  • Another issue being there are plenty of high quality after market companies where you can buy performance upgrades for the car you already have that can bring it up to if not beyond what is available in that new, faster model. Can't really do that with a console game. I suppose if this was on PC, it could be modded. Might be a reason it's not on PC. Why let the community create content for free (or cheap) that's better than what you want to over charge for in DLC packs?

  • Your analogy is not analogous in any way. A new car is a new car. It's a new model, completely different than the old model. No one is asking for Destiny 2. They just don't want to pay for content they already own. 3/4 of the content in the collectors edition is already owned by existing players. That content isn't being updated or changed in any way.
