Why do you care if he cares? It's an arbitrary number that has no real bearing on anything besides showing that some people spend time being a completionist. It's like asking why someone got a platinum trophy or 1000GS on a game. They care because to them it's important, much like how KD is important to some people. Just because YOU don't think it's important doesn't mean everyone feels that way.
