Value and Price. Get a clue
I just read several of the exact same posts. Legions of children screaming about the cost to play DESTINY. Here is a lesson on value to price;
Full game + all DLC + Taken King = $115 rougly. So $115 for a year and half of entertainment (until life cycle after taken king)
$115 / 18 months = $6.38 per month. Or
$6.38 / 16 days (playing every other day or so) = $0.40 per day.
Avg. Person (me included) plays 3 hours per day. $0.40 / 3 = $0.13 per hour.
THIRTEEN CENTS PER HOUR. Too much for you? Ask your grandma to teach you how to make dolls out of old socks, wait, that's not even cheaper. Get a clue. Huge value vs. Cost happening here!!
EDIT: the $115 is what I paid in bundle pack. Plug your purchase price in to get your cost per hour. Many say $140. So at $140; it is $0.16 cents per hour. SIXTEEN CENTS. Same story applies.

7 RepliesI hate these posts, stop comparing value to time played. It's a grindy ass game, they have sold us reskinned weapons, armor, missions in reverse twice. Maybe you think that's value for money but I certainly don't, play Witcher 3 and you'll see what value for money is.

Congratulations you have just wasted a huge effort trying to break Destiny gameplay vs price paid. Most of use don't care that a new player can get Vanilla Destiny, TDB, HoW, and TTK for $60. We do care that Bungie is charging $80 giving away exlusive stuff that they aren't giving veterans when many of us gave them more than 80$ and this is before we are going to drop another $40 for the DLC. We should at least get all the digital items that the $80 version gets or comparable versions of the exotic class items and emotes.

Let's be relative. The witcher 3 cost 60 with an estimated 200 hours of play to finish all content. That's what.... $0.03/hour? And we compare that to $0.13/hour of redundant play?

1 ReplyI think your valuations are based on the whole game. Which can be completed in a day. Also the the game Is just a grind from then on, with crossed fingers for rng and repeats of the same old same old. For the price it lacks content not game play hours.

7 RepliesSo you pay $115 for everything. I paid £45 for destiny + £40 (TDB+HOW) =£95 + £40 (taken king)= £135. Some how I feel as if I'm being robbed, I'm paying full game price for 1/5 of the game, and not to mention, I'm paying nearly double than what you're in the US.

Just shut up I'm complaining more about people getting Ttk significantly cheaper then people that already have all the rest. I live in the UK and where getting -blam!-ed over in terms of price. Legendary Ttk is £54:00 and standalone Ttk is £40. In us it is $40 dollars. So not only do new players get all the the old content cheaper( not bothered about this) but they get new content a lot cheaper and in what world does $40=£40 It should have been at most £30. I'm literally just going to wait until it's on sale since that's the only way I'm getting a fair price. I can't blame bungie other then their lack of content but activision and ea are literally the worst when it comes to pricing dlc in foreign countries

People don't like being told that to get what the next guy gets you have to pay more expecially when the guy just got in line. I may get it I may not it does not seem like a must have at this point for the price. Besides Fallout four Pip Boy edition is the dumb purchase of the year I plan on making.
