The Ghost Of Crota's End: Chapter 2

Thanks for all the support from Ch 1. I appreciate it. Here is Chapter Two! Chapter 1 can be seen above. Chapter 3: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/133077876 Chapter Two: Abysmal Hell The team landed near the Hellmouth. Readying guns, checking for any missing supplies, and predicting what will await.Well, most of them were. Two members of the team could be seen arguing in the distance. "You can't be serious!" "I am, Privus." "Ghost!" Privus's Ghost appeared, asking what was wrong, he told him to go away, remembering the confusion that their leader's name brought upon their tiny Little Lights. "Jumping all the way down there would result in death." Privus argued. "I'll be the first to go, then." Ghost said, fearless of the fall. He was quickly interrupted by Della, who protested to such an idea. "You idiot! You're not getting yourself killed this quick! You're not jumping." Ghost laughed. 'Why were they so scared? We've done this a thousand times.' "Can we just jump down there and get our loot already? I'm dying to see what awaits us." Vari said impatiently. Ghost told her to stay quiet. Vari obliged, but not after a wave of her hand. She hoped that hadn't counted as an insult to him. If it did, she was going to steer clear of the Crucible. Jovan was getting tired of all this talk. Useless talk. Warlocks spoke all the time, about theories of the Darkness, Toland, and even of the Speaker himself. But this was the kind of conversation that didn't interest him at all. He wanted to get this over with. "Perhaps there is a lift that carries us down? If we stand on that plate next to that gigantic hell hole, a bridge will form, creating a lift. Let us try." The five members of the fireteam looked to each other, agreeing on the Warlock's plan. They stood on the plate, waited and watched as the ethereal bridge formed into a solid structure that they could walk on. Ghost took note of this. As they walked upon the Hive structure, Alexis started to feel uneasy, worried that the others might fall. "Careful, don't fall." She couldn't resist. She didn't want to see them plunge down into the Darkness with nothing to lessen the impact. She thought about what the Hive would do, if they found their Light. As they neared the hole at the end of the bridge, the joker spoke up. "So... Who wants to die first?" The Titan Male said.. "I guess me." The leader said. Della went to grab him before he could jump but it was too late. He had already been diving into Hell. Ghost looked back up to from where he jumped, and the light slowly started to disappear from sight. Knowing that he was somewhat deep into the Hellmouth, he looked to the bottom for any ground to land on. Waiting to Blink at just the right moment. He could feel the Darkness brushing against him, draining some of his Light. He fell, and fell, and fell. And then, a light, no, four lights below him. He could see the ground. And it was coming towards him, fast. Ghost blinked and appeared in the air just above the ground. The landing wasn't over yet, as Ghost took his momentum and did a roll across his back. Causing the impact to spread across his body, negating any damage. Satisfied with the landing, Ghost called upon the others to follow. He told them to be wary of the impact and use their Lifts, Double Jumps, and Glides. Or as some Hunters sometimes say about Glide : Floofing about. A few minutes of waiting and they were all there. Alexis was relieved that no one was hurt, Ghost noticing the expression. "Alexis, you gotta focus. Quit worrying about everyone else so much. Protect them, but stay on your task." Ghost said. Alexis nodded. She couldn't help but watch out for everybody. But she put Ghost's advice into her mind, and focused on the task at hand. The fireteam could hear the chittering and hissing of the Hive. This startled and instilled fear into most of the teams minds. Ghost wasn't fazed by this. As he stared into the howling dark, he could see the lamps in the distance that shined with hope. These lamps were their only guide. Their only way out. Ghost knew this. He told his fireteam their plan, and trusting their leader, they all agreed to it. Ghost looked down to Della, she looked back up to him. "Stay close to me, okay?" "Ghosty, you're such a baby. I'll be fine!" She giggled. Ghost didn't laugh. He wouldn't know what to do without her. He would throw himself into a bunch of Thralls to protect her. Ghost didn't want to lose her to the Hive. "I'm going to protect you, I promise." Ghost said. Della smiled. He faced his team. "Let's go. Stick together." And with that, they raced towards the first light.
