What new legendary weapons are worth keeping?
There are so many and my vault is full.
Hand cannon-
Auto rifle-
Scout rifle-
Pulse rifle-
Shotgun-
Fusion rifle-
Sniper-
Rocket launcher-
Machine gun-

For me I haven't found any new legendary primary weapons worth keeping for anything other than colelctibility, mainly because I already had the Vision of Confluence (Solar), Fang of Ir Yut (Arc) and Word of Crota (Void) and pretty much always use one of those, although I did get a scout rifle at one point that had an insane firing rate (would say equal to or perhaps even a tad faster than the MIDA). For Secondaries I haven't had a "brand" yet that really stood out for better or worse, but any shotgun I can roll a Full Auto and any Sniper Rifle that rolls Shoot to Loot, I keep. Fusion rifles I trash because I have Murmur for Arc/Solar and a Dark Below Void Fusion Rifle with Armor Piercing, a perk that is no longer available for Fusion Rifles (Why, Bungie, why). The Vestian Dynasty I keep, because it's just cool and maybe someday they'll let us re-roll them so we can get an element other than Arc. Same story for Heavies. I keep launchers with Tracking, and anything with Surplus. I lean towards low rate - High Impact machine guns, personally. Better to hit hard than to hit often in most cases. I think it's the New Monarchy HMG that I've been leaning on lately, at least when I'm not rocking the Gjallarhorn.

Edited by King Balthasar: 6/24/2015 8:25:03 PMI just did a vault cleaning yesterday, and I dismantled most of the HoW legendary drops I've received, and so far, I really haven't fallen in love with anything. I do have a Dreamwaker solar rocket launcher, but it has cluster bombs instead of tracking. I do get some use out of it, but without tracking, I don't like to rely on it for important shots. (thinking POE bosses) I also have the queen's hand cannon (her mercy) which actually has ok perks. I would probably use it if I didn't have a few exotic hand cannons and Word of Crota (for when you don't want your primary to be an exotic). So far, I haven't felt that any of the new stuff beats the old stuff (altho I must admit, having them drop already maxed out with 331 damage is nice)

I would have had no room to store the new shit, they'd have to be significally better than the old stuff so I could scrap the latter and make room.

The Zero Point LOTP is good despite being kinetic. I have triple tap, explosive rounds, and firefly in mine after a couple re rolls. It's a great scout rifle set up for crowd control, especially against the Hive.

4 Repliesnothing beats fate bringer in pve, and nothing beats thorn in pvp. so don't keep anything. nothing beats found verdict in pve, nothing beats fellwinters lie in pvp, don't keep anything gjallarhorn do i need to say more?? nothing is worth keeping of this new dlc... if you need a legendary for a heavy go with the hunger of crota or song of ir yut. in my opinion, the best guns from this game, you probably have those already. (vanilla weapons)

1 ReplyI know some don't really care for them but my Warlock seems to like the Queen's weapons - the pink ones... Titan likes the new Vanguard and faction ones. My Hunter is old school and prefers OG weaponry. They feel the new stuff is crap, low bid, and probably made in China...

Spare Change.25 and Party Crasher +1 are pretty good. I prefer Party Crasher to Matador personally, but that may be down to the rolls. One/one Synthesete is a favourite at the moment (vanguard scout rifle). Mine has firefly and refills the magazine when super is cast.

I like Ash Factory for its looks lol And I (along with others) Have turned Ill Will into the poor mans Hawkmoon. Luck in the chamber, final round, then something to reduce ammo count to increase the odds of a lucky bullet. And shotgun wise, Matador and Partycrasher +1 have been getting quite a bit of attention <.<
