Why do people want exotic HC's to be comparable to legendaries?
Would that be considered more balanced? What would be the exotic definition?

Boring? To have more weapons that are competitive? Point is exotics should feel special, and have powerful perks, not be vastly superior based on damage output alone. I don't want to see the same 3 guns over and over. Now it's Thorn, used to be Suros. Diversity keeps things interesting.

I feel that what separates an exotic from a legendary is lore, uniqueness, and they will always be viable. That says nothing about them being best in the game.

8 RepliesI do think that thorn burn shouldnt be able to kill you. That would be a fair nerf. I dont think TLW is op though. This is coming from an avid thorn user and someone who doesnt like TLW. Also, auto rifles (which i didnt use even before the nerf) need a buff

2 RepliesI don't have a problem with thorn and last word specifically. It's the amount of people that use them. And I don't blame them. Why not use the best guns? I just wish I could use something else and be just as effective.

11 RepliesWell I got a Fulcrum and re-rolled it for final round, LitC and small bore and it was fun to use and a beast... but you know whats more of a beast... Thorn and TLW... so then I got a Salvation State and re-rolled it to give me the same perks as VoC and I used it in Crucible and it was fun to use and a beast, but you know what is more of a beast... Thorn and TLW... so then I get a hold of an allFate, and put braced frame on it with Hidden Hand and Rodeo and the thing shoots freakin lasers... freakin' LASERS and its a beast... but yet again, Thorn and TLW... why bother having all these guns and perks...

8 RepliesWell we don't want them to be exactly like legendaries but they shouldn't preform out side of their initaial class and out preform hundreds of guns. Like thorn for its capabilities of two shots at any range a burn that triggers at all ranges and having overpenetration so it can shoot through several spots where you take cover. It's okay for a exotic to preform outside of initial so long as it has a drawback. A great example is queenbreakers bow. It can be used like a fusion rifle or sniper rifle but the draw back is it has travel time on shots, has to charge before firing and can only one shot kill if it gets a head shot. There just need to be drawbacks to using a exotic weapon instead of just only it out performing all weapons. It's more boring with players using the same exact exotic weapons instead of people using different legendaires from over the year.
