It's a rip off especially for the Europe/UK gamers - just look at some numbers
US new game price = 60$ = 38£
US Destiny DLC = 40$ = 25£ (2/3 rd price of the new game)
UK new game price = 40£ = 63$
UK Destiny DLC = 40£ = 63$ (?!?!?!)
Product that costs 25£ in US we have to pay 40£, a price you can get a new game on release day.
For some of the arrogant Bungie workers, that Sterling Pounds sound [b]"FOREING"[/b] to their brains:
[b]HOW THE HELL WE HAVE TO PAY 63$ JUST FOR NEW DLC? Not even mentioning a fact you wont get full content[/b]
That's really disgusting. And I'm out. Hope many of the UK gamers with me.

Apparently, whenever it comes down to doing simple math or extorting part of their fanbase, they prefer the latter; conversion is too much work I guess. I am sorry that you and everyone else in the UK has to put up with these unreasonable prices. Hopefully, Bungie will address all of these concerns with solutions that we can all be happy with. But truthfully... I don't think we're going to be that lucky.

Like atpbx said you have it backwards. Inflation is when the value of ones money is decreased because there is more of it. Imagine if the jewelry companies around the world let loose their warehouses of diamonds and everyone now had banks of diamonds. The value of the diamond has now been inflated and therefore its value is worth less. That's what's happened to the US dollar compared to the UK pound, hence they pay 25 pounds where we pay 40 dollars.

What? No you have that the wrong way round. We can buy more dollars with a pound than you can pounds with a dollar. Thats why a straight conversion of 40 dollars is something like 26 quid.

It's your currency is weak, we have more buying power pound for pound then you have dollar for dollar.

On the one hand, we Americans see a lower number on other markets and we get angry, because we can't do currency conversions well because we're so used to USD. On the other hand, making money off of a market in foreign lands is pretty typical. I know it's not justified, but think of outsourcing work; you have workers in other countries make your product, while you profit off of the obvious lower wage control. Like I said, I know it's unfair, but it's also business, which is rarely fair. As an American, I apologize for the way you were treated.

I do agree though that they are stupid for not adjusting the prices for other markets. but I guess they can do this since the content is locked into certain markets. you cant buy a game from american and have it shipped over there to play it to save money. that is wrong to me. any copy should work anywhere in the world.

a bellen is what a foreigner like you is. and I do not really need to explain what I said. its all right there for anyone with alittle bit of intelligence to read. I mean shit even I can understand it. but I'll try and break it down into even easier to understand points. 1. a game bought in the US will not work in the UK. this makes the games locked by region and allows the company to do what they are doing here. 2. 40 quid in the UK is worth alot more then 40 bucks is in the US. setting the price at 40 across the board does not take into account the value of money across the globe. maybe this is where your having your issues with understanding. I'm guessing you are not able to look up exchange rates for yourself bein a bellen and a buffoon, but 40 quid would get you roughly 62 bucks if you exchanged it.
