He told the truth. Minus any bullshit. And the babies cried. Pray tell why people who have played this game for so long need exotic experience boosting class items. You can't even use them to level up a faction. Nuff said. As for the emotes and shaders. Is everybody entitled to the the Shield of Mythics emblem, The Sign of Duality emblem, or the Blacksmith shader? Why does everybody suddenly have the entitlement to everything that releases for this game? Newsflash: if you like to collect everything, chances are you're already -blam!-ed in that regard. This is not a new concept.
As for the collectible items (printed material+strange coin replica), it costs a lot of money to make a physical edition like that. Bet your ass that you're not paying for the game over again- it's the ITEMS that drive up the cost. That's why you'd be foolish to choose the digital collector's edition as it's the same exact price and offers NOTHING other than the USELESS emotes etc. While the physical edition is a retailer exclusive in the U.S., at least they're being made available to customers in large quantities. That's more than we can say for something like Nintendo's awful Amiibo experiment everybody keeps jacking it over.

6 RepliesThe fùcking entitlement generation strikes again. I just read the interview, and as a day one player who owns all content, I take no issue with Luke or Bungie. Establishing a new fan base makes total sense. The problem with this interview is the interviewer, he clearly didn't get the answers HE wanted, so he continued to re-ask the same question hoping he would. It's pretty obvious Luke picked up on his sense of self entitlement, as I did, and decided to mock him a little bit. I back it. Get over it. It's a game.

I feel like as players who have supported this game since day one and mostly because we're the ones who have been begging for new emotes, it is a pretty big slap in the face for them to have finally made new ones, but then make them available to only new players or players willing to pay for something they've already bought, at full retail price I might add. The shaders and the class items are stupid, day one players don't need the XP boost, and I'm not about to be upset about a shader that won't even be rare. I'd rather thrown on my FWC shader.

No, he's a -blam!-. He even got all pissy with Burnie at the Rooster Teeth interview becuase they kept calling it a DLC. Which IT IS. ITS A -blam!-IN PIECE OF DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT.

21 RepliesThe douchiest interviewer in recent history got well deserved sarcastic responses and everyone's up in arms. Sometimes I wish I just didn't come to the forums.....

2 RepliesEuro gamer spoke on the subject and said smith was actually very polite and it's was a joke most the time and the community doesn't need to treat it as such it was his writing that messed it up Here are the links https://mobile.twitter.com/tomphillipsEG/status/613376448645214209 https://mobile.twitter.com/tomphillipsEG/status/613376025775460352

2 RepliesHe did tell the truth, instead of hiding with PR bullshit like someone like DeeJ would do. That doesn't mean that the reality of what Bungie is doing, is in ANY way justifiable.

2 RepliesI came here to find out about a rocket launcher. I am disappointed.

1 ReplyAgreed.

I bought the collectors edition because it's a better price on a new console for all that content

1 ReplyEdited by Robby416: 6/23/2015 9:28:56 PMIdk what kinda sick individual wouldn't enjoy a cool new action for your Guardian to do; I don't trust you any more than I trust Bungie. Why should Year 1'ers have to buy 2x USELESS DLC's an extra $40 in order to get it? This is called a Microtransaction. Is Destiny supporting Microtransactions? (Other than the Napal T-Shirts for Emblems & Donation Emblem, speaking of which, will future updates report where the Napal Aid money went?) If you think the fact that Year 1'ers have things that new players can't get, that's a goofy argument. We've been here for the first year in order to EARN whatever's given.

1 ReplyYes thank you! I'm only a little bummed that I won't be getting the "slow clap" but other than that I couldn't care less

4 RepliesYou cannot collect anything in this game without deleting other treasured items or not grabbing new ones. We are forced to pick and choose until the next new thing comes out. They were not thinking when it came down to this. Sure you can blame our current space problem on old gen consoles but maybe they should have thought of another way around it unless they are just winging it. I mean seriously a game focused around so many types of guns should have had a vault to fit your collection needs. Idk just saying.

2 RepliesWho is this luke smith person I have been hearing about? Can someone please explain?

8 RepliesYou dont know what the exotic class items do as far as levelling a faction, nuff said scrub.

9 RepliesEdited by ODR: 6/23/2015 7:01:11 PMCan Bungie announce DLC without controversy? Dark Below - "I have to re-level my exotics" House of Wolves - "WTF, no raid" The Taken Kings" -"I want emotes"

4 RepliesI still want to know why the creative director was being asked marketing questions?
-
He basically said "we can sell you any kind of crap and you'll buy it." I personally don't care enough about the emotes enough to buy collectors edition. And I get that they are a business who's goal is to make money. But with what was said it comes off as being exploitative to your fanbase, the very people who them where they are. They always go on about about they care about the players, but it certainly didn't seem like it with what was said in the interview.

59 RepliesGod damn you guys are soft. Both him and deej are just asking for you to have a little patience until Thursday but you whiney -blam!-s get your jimmies rustled at the drop of a hat nowadays. Luke Smith is a cool -blam!-ing dude. I remember when he did the bungie podcasts years ago. And if you're an adult that is upset about what he said then please hang your head in shame. Shame (rings bell)....Shame (rings bell)...

3 RepliesEurogamer: "You're the lead designer. Can we interview you about TTK?" Luke: "Sure" Eurogamer: "Price, price, price, price, price...." Luke: "Fuk off" Yeah sounds about right. Good job, Luke. Maybe next time they'll ask you questions about what you actually do at Bungie.
-
13 RepliesHis answers were fine, and the interviewer was a total asshole.

Let all the babies have their time guys! You know they don't get attention at home so they have to come here to cry about every -blam!-ing thing!

Bungie apologists are the worst. If you are too dumb to see the issues with the way TTK is being released i feel bad for you.
