That's your right, and we respect your freedom to make decisions about what you find valuable.
The Collector's Edition is mostly sold out, so the people who found that stuff valuable jumped at the chance. You'll likely see it sold on ebay for much more than what we're asking. But that's not the point. Right?
The real conversation here is: What are we doing to honor you, the players who have been bound to Destiny in this first year of action and adventure? I'm glad you asked. I'm going to answer in the Bungie Weekly Update.

In the first half of the update, are you basically asking us to pay 20 pounds, (30+ dollars to the US folk), to accept your apology? I am over the moon you all are trying to correct this, but we're still paying far too much in the UK, especially for cosmetics! Thanks Bungie, but the currency conversion is way off sadly x

Typical scumbag sales person. Another attempt to hype in hopes to attract more sales. This shit isn't sold out he's reaching and if it is who cares once these new players enter the world of destiny and find out the reviews and others perspective of the game is true, they'll end up ditching the game for another. Squeeze every last drop before going tits up, this is how we all know destiny is failing.

Edited by Warpath73: 6/25/2015 12:14:50 AMI think all of the annoyed (or in some cases, enraged) fans are dying to forgive the whole thing - you just need to let us believe (or even just enable us to delude ourselves) that you understand we shouldn't be excluded from content because we've paid more money, earlier, and stuck with the game through all of its ups and downs. That actually reminds me of the misstep of TDB "punishing" players for having previously leveled exotics. If nothing else, make the items available via micro transactions - it's reasonable to let players decide if an emote is worth $1.99 to them; it's unreasonable to lock that content behind an $80 repurchase requirement.

My oh my. That post was almost as condescending, obnoxious and insulting as the Smith interview. (Almost.) But hey, please feel free to pretend that whatever you've come up with on the fly since Monday to smooth over the Smith fiasco was in the works all along. No thinking person will ever believe that, but if Bungie's post hoc solution is attractive enough, I'm sure many if not most will indulge the polite fiction that said post hoc solution was always part of the plan.

There are deeply seeded problems with the way you guys go about yourselves and promote Destiny. What's happening is the explosion of an overly frustrated player base. I popped in Destiny last night and I [i]hated[/i] that I was playing it.

And that's called market value. If you don't think the DLC is worth your money, don't buy it. Other people do, and they are willing to pay much more. It's all supply and demand. This isn't a nonprofit, and Bungie employees aren't your moms and dads making you bed time stories, they are making a kick ass game that you care so much about and are so addicted to, you come here and cry in the forums when more content comes out and you are worried about scraping the money. They don't owe you anything for buying their game for $60 a year ago except the game that you agreed to buy for $60 a year ago. You got what you paid for and you have been enjoying it so much you are still playing it and still contemplating buying expansions. Imagine if Bungie put out only X amount of copies and that hit eBay... I guarantee there are plenty of people who value you it more than you do. If you want a free game or a cheap experience, download Farmville, Warframe, or Planetside 2, and don't purchase The Taken King. Have a nice day.

I can definitely agree with that. What I'm noticing are a lot of the same people going thread to thread and making a couple of their own to rehash the same thing and stir up trouble. In the end, they have seen that Bungie will bend for the PR and they are trying to see what they can get. I would be surprised if they quit until this all costs them nothing or no more than a dollar or two. Because entitlement.
