Ok, I'm going to make a new race. They are going to be called the Voracious. They are humanoid reptilian creatures. They don't follow a hierarchy, but they have their own clans, similar to the fallen. Each clan has it's own alliances and enemies. There are five clans: - Broken Claw; they have alliances to no clan, and no enemies amongst their kind. They're the lone wolf kind of clan. They reside on Earth. - Bloody Scale; they are warmongers, and are against each clan except for Broken Claw. They reside on Mars. - Beastly Hunger; they are cannibalistic and have a more primal way of attack. They are allied with Vicious Intellect and Shadowstalkers, but are constantly at war with Bloody Scale. They reside on the Moon. - Shadowstalkers; the stealthy warriors that use cloaking abilities and surprise attacks. They don't use guns, only blades, but are very efficient at killing. They are very fast as well. Dislike the Bloody Scale. They reside in the Reef. - Vicious Intellect; they are the most intelligent ones. They have mastered the use of magic. They dislike the Bloody Scale, and they find the Broken Claw irritating because of the lack of communication with the other clans. They reside on Venus. The story behind these guys is that they came from a swamp-like planet called Feridia, 4 lightyears from the Moon. They encountered the Cabal, who were trying to destroy their planet in the Cabal's path of conquest. They all fled to different planets, and need to go to the other planets in need of supplies, so they are occasionally found in different areas. They are mainly use the void damage type, but Drakes get a solar shield. They mostly have the same variants, but each type of clan has it's own particular type. - Hatchlings are the equivalent of Fallen Shanks. They break out of shells if stepped nearby. You can destroy the egg, which kills them, but all nearby Hatchlings erupt out of their eggs and attack. They look like a cross between a turtle and a crocodile. - Basilisks are the snake-like reptilians which are the equivalent to a Fallen Captain, Hive Knight or Cabal Phalanx. They have two arms which have large claws. They don't use guns, but they slither at you and claw you, bite you, hit you with their tails which knock you back and may occasionally spit acid at you from a distance, damaging you over time. - Drakes are the equivalent to a Hive Wizard or a Cabal Centurion. They can fly short distances. They use a Charge Rifle. They have solar overshields. - Leviathans are the equivalent to a Hive Ogre or a Cabal Colossus. They have one head that deals a specific damage type. Dealing the damage specific to the head deals extra damage. Getting close makes them do a ground stomp, killing you at close range. They have two arms, two legs, a large tail and no wings - Nagas are the equivalent to a Fallen Vandal or Vex Hobgoblin. They dual-wield Venom Pistols. They are bipedal, humanlike and can double jump. - Asps are the equivalent to Fallen Dregs or Hive Thralls. Quite weak, but can use Slashers. Also bipedal and humanlike. The different clans have their own specialties, a special unit and a Broodmother, which act like Kells for the Fallen. The specific bonuses include: - Broken Claw are the generic Voracious clan. They don't have any particular special abilities. That could explain why they are neutral to the other clans. They have a unit called a Butcher. It's a Basilisk with an arc shield that duel-wields Scale Scythes. They can also freeze you temporarily if you are in their line of sight long enough. - Bloody Scale have a berserk mode which trigger when their health is low, significantly increasing their damage. They also rally nearby enemies to make them flinch less. They have a unit called a Breaker. These are Drakes with tracking Rocket Launchers. They also can fly twice as far. - Beastly Hunger can devour their fallen comrades to regain a portion of their health. They also make you bleed if hit by a melee attack or bitten, doing damage over time. They have a unit called a Devourer. They are Leviathans with a head on their tails which can eat nearby allies and enemies to charge a tri-damage ability, dealing massive amounts of damage. - Shadowstalkers are always cloaked, and use Scale Shivs, Scale Scythes and Scale Swords. They can also evade targets randomly, and kill instantly upon a backstab. They also aren't detected on your tracker. Nagas use Scale Scythes, Drakes and Basilisks use Scale Swords and Asps use Scale Shivs. They have a unit called an Assassin. They are a Hatchling which shoots poisoned spikes at you. They are also impervious to void damage and melee attacks. - Vicious Intellect know how to levitate, make containment fields and teleport short distances. Their special unit is a Sage. They are Asps which can duplicate themselves into three clones. Each clone is a different damage type. They also have an acid spit attack The weapons are as follows: - Slash Cannons are a combination between a void whip and a handcannon. At close range, the handcannon transforms into a whip, but at range it changes back and fires void-damage rounds. - Venom Pistols shoot void-damage rounds which slows your weapon handling. The graphic is similar to Thorn's MotD perk when you get tagged. - Charge Rifles aren't like Wire Rifles. They act similar to Scout Rifles, and every 10 rounds charges a higher calibre round which deals a high amount of damage. There is a delay between the 10 rounds and the charged round, which gives you time to get to cover. - Scale Scythes, Scale Swords and Scale Shivs are melee weapons that are used by select Voracious units. Shivs < Swords, Swords < Scythes. So now you've gotten a basic idea of the Voracious, I'll give you the lowdown on the leaders of each clan: First of all, a Broodmother is a Levitathan with three heads (one of each damage type), four arms, two legs, two wings and a tail. Each Broodmother is different in her own way. The centre head is the one in control, while the other two are her puppets. - Broken Claw's Broodmother is Rakes-Her-Claws, which is a blue-grey colour. She has horns on her heads and spikes on her wing tips. Her claws are long and sharp and she is immune to arc damage and damage from Handcannons. She resides in a cave under the Divide, which is guarded by a squadron of Butchers. - Bloody Scale's Broodmother is Breaks-Their-Bones, which is a red-black colour. She has prominent, sharp teeth and big spines on the ridge of her back and up her necks. She also has spears sticking out of parts of her body and barbed wire on some parts of her. She is immune to solar damage and damage from Rocket Launchers (haha, no Gjallarhorn for you!). She resides in a cave in the side of a mountain, deep in the Valley of Kings. Her cave is guarded by a squadron of Breakers. - Beastly Hunger's Broodmother is Chews-Her-Prey, which is a black colour with blue highlights on her wings. She is missing a chunk from her left wing. She is immune to void damage and damage from Scout Rifles. She resides in a cave deep under the Hellmouth, guarded by four Devourers. The outside of her cave is littered with bones and corpses. - Shadowstalker's Broodmother is Cuts-Them-Deep, which is a pale grey colour with red markings on her heads and body. She has scars on her body as well. Her tail has a sharp, scythe-like spine on it. She also has a cloaking ability, She is immune to melee and Sniper Rifle damage, and can detect cloaked players. She lives inside an abandoned Hive mothership floating in the Reef guarded by a swarm of Assassins. - Vicious Intellect's Broodmother is a unique one. She is a dark green colour with golden accents. Nobody knows her real name, but she is affectionately known as "Wisdom Teeth". The reason behind this is that she has no mouth. Or wings. Or arms or legs. She has a serpentine body, which is always coiled around a large golden globe. She never speaks. But why do they call her "Wisdom Teeth"? She is called this because her knowledge is as formidable as the sharpest bite; the deadliest mind of any Broodmother. She can telepathically form balls of elemental damage and hurl them at you. She can cause thunderclouds to form, fire to pour from the floor around you and black holes to rip into reality and drag you into them. She can drain your health just by thinking about it. The only defence against her telepathic torment is by using a long lost Relic. It is called the Sceptre of Anhur. It creates a psychic buffer which can completely prevent her from harming you. While you use the Sceptre, all incoming damage heals you, your ammo never runs out and your Supers charge instantly. She resides inside a Vex Timevault, guarded by a troop of Sages. Killing a Broodmother has a chance to drop a Broodmother's Sigil. These are special sigils inscribed into the claws of each Broodmother. You can hand them in to The Speaker, any Vanguard Mentor, the Gunsmith, Amanda Holliday, Master Rahool or Xur. - Giving a sigil to The Speaker gives you 10 Motes of Light or 10,000 glimmer. - Giving a sigil to any Vanguard Mentor gives you 2000XP for your Vanguard Reputation and a random Vanguard weapon or armour piece for your class, as well as a chance at a mentor missive, or 10, 000 glimmer. - Giving a sigil to the Gunsmith gives you 10x heavy ammo synths and a random legendary weapon engram or 10,000 glimmer. - Giving a sigil to Amanda Holliday will get you a ship blueprint for a legendary ship or 10,000 glimmer. - Giving a sigil to Master Rahool will get you 5 mixed engrams of blue and purple, with the smallest chance to get a super rare exotic engram - Giving a sigil to Xur may get you 10 Strange Coins, 10 Motes of Light or 10,000 glimmer If you guys have anything to help with this idea, let me know. It took a while to get this together. Thanks :)
