Why do people give Destiny so much hate?
I personally like the game, and I know that the game has some flaws but overall I think it's pretty good.
I want your opinions on the game, so comment and tell me what you think, I will try to reply to most posts.

We were promised more. Plus the pvp is not balanced all. We expected more from the makers of Halo.

"Destiny is a next generation first person shooter, with rich cinematic story telling set in huge worlds to explore..." Rich cinematic story telling? Huge worlds to explore? LOL Bungie has jokes. I like the game but none of that is remotely true. The missions are extremely linear and the worlds aren't that big when you actually explore them. More insult to injury, there's nothing to find when you do go exploring. A dead ghost? A chest with 2 spirit bloom and a green engram? I'll pass. There is no story. Yes I know there's the grimoire. That is LORE. Not a STORY. I think if they actually tried to craft a story that it would be incredible because there is a good bit of lore. But alas..

7 RepliesA lot of people bought a world spanning immersive game. They got Destiny instead. Bungie marketed and sold a completely different game than they delivered. Same with the dlcs. Bungie has a bait and switch marketing style these days.

I feel disappointed. This is my experience with Destiny. Day one, download the game and hop right it. Excited. Really excited. Playing through the story, earth was boring because I did all of that in the beta, and I finally get to the moon. Run through the story really excited and hyped. Get to phogoth, shit my pants because it was new and crazy and our fireteam struggled with it. Move on to Venus, game feels like it's supposed to pick up but instead it slows down. Get to Mars. Last mission ready for black Garden, ends up fighting 3 oversized minotaurs. Game over. Shit. VoG comes out a while later. Best experience of the game, that difficulty, that confusion, and the teamwork was on point. Cheeses come out, everyone wants to do the cheese instead of legit, loses its enjoyment. CE comes out. Expecting a good story, utter shit. Cheeses with crota and no strategy/teamwork really required, boring. HoW comes out. Story was great enjoyed it. First time doing Prison if Elders was nice, after that felt really repetitive. ToO is the only thing that makes my heart race in this game. TL;DR Game was really fun first couple times I did things, story wasn't what it should have been and DLCs were kind of disappointing. The repetitiveness sucks out the fun and makes you wait for another overpriced DLC to drop.

People give it hate for what it doesn't have but nobody gives ir love for the things it does have, this is easily my favorite game right now, so in answer to your question, I don't know, I think people need to experience the end game content before judging, and some people just don't like the game which is fine

1 ReplyToxic community, gimmick loving players etc. The only flaws to Destiny in my book are the social aspect, as a lot of players are petty here. Otherwise, the story is passable, the art direction are f'ing gorgeous, the sound design is second to none, and the mechanics are the best in modern shooters...but the community? It makes me second guess my time investment at times.

played beta and followed every ounce of destiny info before launch and i can say the only realy gripe is year long exclusives. Just want that to be negotiated into a more reasonable deal. I like every thing else about the game and wouldn't really have anything bad to say otherwise.
