He has so many additional enemies around him, it's hard to fight them all. I can't even hit him with all the extra enemies. If bungie could take a few away, that'd be great..
I'm talking about the POE guy
Edit: None of us had ghorns
Edit 2: I was level 33 when I ran the mission
Edit 3: All of you guys saying get gud skrub and all that stupid crap are really helpful :)
Edit 4: I don't actually want a nerf, I was just butthurt from losing a fight I wasn't prepared for

Warlock solar grenades take his shield down easily no matter what burn shield he has
-
2 RepliesHe can be tough depending on your strategy/Fireteam, but we were pleasantly surprised that we beat the entire 34 Poe this week in about 38 minutes. A weapons bubble and rockets go a long way towards killing him fast.
-
Did it first try 0 ghorn
-
We just farmed it for a cipher. Ridiculously easy.
-
Hide under the stairs
-
2 RepliesSplit up. Don't stand together. What you want to do is run around take out all of the enemies until he is the only one in the room. Enemies don't spawn until his shield changes. And his shield doesn't change until you damage him. So once all the enemies are gone, nuke him. After you are done then rinse and repeat.
-
There's not enough challenging fights, I think the fights fine how it is
-
I literally just sit near the entrance. Have a shotgun ready for enemies that come wandering in. If you don't have great weapons it could take a little while, but you'll get it done no problem.
-
Downed him in 30 seconds with 2 Gallys and a Thorn to keep his shields down, man Gally is op :/
-
Just watch the spawn doors it's easy
-
When you enter go left straight, there should be cover behind there, Valus tra'urg can't hit u when u r behind there, if that place gets flooded run to the door in the begining. Shoot adds, when tra urg comes closer to you circle around and go back to that covering place
-
I ran it the first week, all three of us were 33s and none of us had Gjallarhorns.
-
2 manned him Friday night

2 RepliesIm with this guy on this one Even though my fireteam beat him, we still had a really hard time. We had one guy (running invis) count as many centurions as he could, he counted at least 10 (to the right of him). Add in all the phalanxes and legionarys and thats a whole lot of enemies in one area for a boss. The strike bosses dont even have a lot of enemies (at one time) no, he does not need a nerf, they just need to cut back kn the amount of enemies. The same goes for skolas. WAY to many enemies at one time. It make it harder to hit him alone with Gjalllarhorn (cause of the hidden proximity perk)

Edited by Aeon Marine: 6/21/2015 3:18:18 PMMy strategy is to have at least 1 gunslinger, Sunsinger, and defender. Run to the left side and camp there for the whole fight. Titan spawns orbs for team, gunslinger with Nighthawk one hits centurions, Sunsinger spams grenades or save for rez. Finish killing adds then attack boss until he recalibrates. Repeat until he's dead and claim rewards.
No Gjallarhorn required.
Yeah that's the problem with the boss fights in PoE right now, too many adds and particularly in this fight too many majors. It makes it so that it isn't hard in a fun way, it's hard in a I-wanna-throw-my-controller-against-the-wall way.
-
Killed him in 6 minutes last night. Have each person in the team equip a shotgun each with a different element. When the doors open run all the way to the left. That's where you'll fight from and take cover. We just shot our shotguns over the wall to drop his shield then shot him with any rockets or lmg. Shotgun a few adds the rinse and repeat. Invective works like a champ on this boss.
-
KILL ADDS, don't be an idiot like my frens and just shoot tra'urg then die by centurions
-
Just 2 manned it last night. Wasn't too bad. Kills adds first then focus on him.
-
Dude I farm him to complete my elder ciphers it's not that hard
-
1 ReplyWe had 1 of each burn for all weapons and secondary was shotgun for the ads that come in. It is easy when you into a rhythm
-
Wise up good sir its way too easy
-
Edited by zxionisus: 6/21/2015 2:58:32 PMHave each player use a primary weapon with a different burn: e.g. Vision of Confluence, Word of Crota, Fatebringer. Use shotguns for special to take care of the additional enemies. Stay in the room on the right when you enter the arena. Take out most adds first then take out his shield with appropriate primary. Everyone rocket him when shield down. Repeat.
-
What my team did was go left and then one guy kill adds one guy takes down his shield and then the guy who took down his shield and the extra guy spam rockets
-
If you don't have gally always use dragons breath. It's what I use and it's really good. Solar flare keeps hitting him so his shield won't regen
-
Edited by Killawats7: 6/21/2015 2:58:06 AMKeep rotating. Kill adds. Try a solar primary like VoC or Abyss Defiant. Adds spawn based on his health. Kill adds as then shoot Valus. Gjallarhorn is nice but someone has to take down his shield when it's arc or void. Truth is good for that. He's hard but a good strategy is worth 3 Gjallarhorns.
