Just one of the small differences between capitalism and socialism

7 RepliesOur economy is stronger than America's so bungie see it as an opportunity to exploit us and get more money. Apple, Microsoft etc. do it aswell. Do British products cost more in the US? Just wondering if it works both ways.

Cuz murica

At least it's not as bad as Australia.

2 RepliesImport and export tax, blame our governments
-
9 RepliesNice to see Bungie regards us Brits as "rich enough to pay more than everyone else" even though the states has more money than us.

Watching some of the mongoloids here try to navigate your point, even when it's spelled out for them with exchanges rates, makes me ashamed for the United States. We're not all overweight Downs Syndrome babies with Tourette's. I promise.

3 RepliesBecause MURICA is still mad at you
lololol jk
4 RepliesEdited by RichyWoo: 6/21/2015 10:42:31 AMOFFICIAL COMMENT FROM BUNGIE INC. The price of our product reflects the calculated average quality of the players in each country. The higher the quality of human beings in each territory the higher we are able to charge them.
ISIS gets Bungie products for free.
1 ReplyIts like the xbox elite controller, think its going to be $150? But i looked it up on amazon, here its £130... which is $206.... wtf?
-
1 ReplyI know USA has taxes on top but still it's bullshit. The uk's VAT Is 17.5% the price difference is around 40% though.
-
Because 'merica. Jk. Seriously though, that's pretty messed up.

5 RepliesEdited by zxionisus: 6/21/2015 12:59:04 PMThe exchange rate is about 1.59£ to the dollar. Additionally, Bungie is located out of America. The price will tend to be higher for electronics when taking economies of scale in conjunction with manufacturing location, transportation, taxes and import duties. For example, London has a 20% VAT (value added tax), which may affect price. This paints only the microecon picture, however, and not the macro, which could include buyer behavior and willingness to sustain a higher price point. Granted, digital does not incur export costs, but prices are usually based on the goods not the medium.
-
Exchange rate man, that's so racist. I applaud bungie for breaking the mold and charging everyone the same number.
-
Ever heard of better currency, stocks, exchange rates? All of those factor in.
-
Where can we claim our advertising costs from? Quite a few have bought Destiny and DLC's because of my comments and dedication. Maybe I will strike a deal and take TTK as a payment save on paperwork ;)
-
1 ReplyIt's your country's VAT.

3 RepliesCurrency exchange rate man.

3 RepliesEdited by LifeTyde: 6/21/2015 1:43:56 PMYea I guess we just don't have as much money here, we have more population, or our dollar is worth more some how. I think it's the second one, we have a bigger population to dollar ratio! ( that or bungie's main sales manager has gone mad) Oh yea I'm from the U.S.A
