An Experienced Player and Bungie Fanboy has a Burning Question for The Once Great Game Developers of our Time (DLC Price is abhorrent)
Please bump this if you agree. I think this is important.
Why Bungie? Why?
In every moment I've spent in your games, I've never questioned your greatness.
Halo 1:The best game ever made when it was released, Splitscreen Tactical and Competitive Shooter. Invented by Bungie
Halo 2:The best game ever made when it was released. Matchmaking? Invented by Bungie.
Halo 3:The best game ever made when it was released. Perfecting a seemingly perfect game? Invented by Bungie
Halo Reach: The best game ever made when it was released. Innovating and keeping core gameplay against impossible odds? Invented by Bungie
Destiny:Let's be honest. We cant say its definitively the best game out there. But It's new, it's fresh, it's fun, and most of all its friggen Bungie...so yeah its awesome and its gonna get awesomer without a doubt. I did not whine about shortcomings; i never do. Why? Cause you make awesome games and you know what's best. That's why you ARE the best.
You are the divine leaders in game development...Of what games are supposed to be. I was given hope by Destiny. I saw its future potential.
I'm not gonna go into the countless whiny details of why what your doing is unfair. Any troll or whiny baby can whine facts at you. The fact is that I never whine about guns, nurfs, buffs, spawns, enemies, matchmaking, campaign, story, etc, etc. because you don't deserve whining; you deserve praise( and suggestions).
All I'm gonna say is that I'm not buying it. I wont do it. I've bought every thing you've ever released, but I wont buy this.
I want you to go to bed every night knowing that I'm getting killed by people with abilities I DONT HAVE because I wouldn't give you 40 dollars. Welcome to the pay to win category Bungie. I know it snuck up on you. I know it wasn't your intention. But welcome to the group. The company that invented the OUT-BR is now pay-to-win. Just chew on that. I'm sure you can rationalize against it. That's irrelevant though...what matters is that I THINK IT and I've been a devout fan since the release of halo 1. Tell that to your investors.
You leech off your loyal fans for an immediate payout, instead of just being great like you know you are capable of.
Very shortsighted....VERY short sighted.
And one more thing. Forty dollars is nothing to me. It's nothing to a lot of people. But just because you can get 40 for something doesn't mean you should....

4 RepliesIt's the price of production, wtf are they going to pay their employees with,employees that spend every day producing content for you honestly, take it from their perspectives. If you were them would you spend months patching and creating content for a game for free? No money doesn't grow on trees and $40 to you isn't much so why not pay it to help put food on the tables of the people who provided you with many years of entertainment and who will, if you let them, try to provide you with many more?

Very well put. I seen it with TDB that this game would become a pay to win. It was kinda written in the Destiny stars. A very ambitious 10yr plan. Absolutely no way they were not going to go the pay to win method. I guess before long, we'll start seeing micro transactions offered. First for shaders. Something simple to start. By the time this 10yr run is over, I honestly believe we'll see "Time savers" packs to unlock high level weapons and armor. By then, the game will be completely ruined anyways.

Couldn't agree more. However my brother will most likely buy it and since my account is on his xbox, I'll get it free. You're absolutely right though. This game is pay to win or get screwed over. And veterans get shafted while newcomers are welcomed gloriously.
