How about Apollo or Orion! Hunters/Jäger have always been a mixture of Mythical Cowboy/Cowgirl and Firefly. The Revalator Hand Cannon even looks like the one Malcolm Reynolds uses in the show. And then there's the fact that Nathan Fillion voices the Hunter Vanguard Rep Cayde-6. He even talks like Malcolm Reynolds! Next time you run the Archon Priest listen to the intro.
