Why do men play as female avatars?
I'm just curious as to why I join a party chat with all men and then inspect their characters to find female characters. Can someone explain this to me?
Edit: I don't care nor does it bother me that men choose to play as female avatars, I was only curious as to why they choose to do so. Most of the answers so far have been interesting/enlightening.

I just based my hunter off Ghostrobo's beta hunter because it looked pretty cool

Awoken Female because that seems to fit the lore and personality of a Warlock, and Exo Female because of Lakshmi-2 and their badass robot moves.

My girlfriend started a female warlock then quit playing. Couldn't be bothered to relevel it over a cosmetic thing.

Honestly all gear and weapons look better on a slimmer female character. Have you seen how horrible the male titan or warlocks look? They look overweight and not in shape at all. Not a fan of the bloated look.

I prefer the body shape of female hunters. Don't look to bulky like the males

Idk. I think Destiny is the first game I've had only female toons. Really couldn't come up with a reason.
