Why do men play as female avatars?
I'm just curious as to why I join a party chat with all men and then inspect their characters to find female characters. Can someone explain this to me?
Edit: I don't care nor does it bother me that men choose to play as female avatars, I was only curious as to why they choose to do so. Most of the answers so far have been interesting/enlightening.

3 RepliesSome people are horny and others are pro-gamers. Male bodies are bigger so there is more to hit but with a female body they are a little smaller so their is a littlle less to hit.

Why do either play as a Blue hedgehog, Sack Boy, a ball of goo, dragons, fish, badgers, or any other weird and wonderful thing? More to the point, what does it matter? It's a bloody game and not some way of assisting spotty oiks to meet girls.

I have a female awoken hunter, male human titan, female human warlock and I'm a big bearded Scotsman. The characters all seemed to fit themselves as I made them and none of them is me so the gender thing has never been given a thought. I do find other peoples assumptions of me based on the character they see of their screens amusing though. It's not often I am messaged saying I'm "sexy". Oh, if only they could see the real me.

From what I've read on the many threads that pop up about this the main difference between people who have issues with this and those that don't are how you see your guardian. Some people see it as an extension of themselves in the gameworld thus find the genderswap thing strange. Others like me just see it as a character I made. I have both genders as I don't see my guardians as me. It's my badass space ninja woman. ;D

My favorite "reason" is that female characters have smaller hit boxes, so they take more accuracy to land shots on them. HA!

Both of my friends plays female avatars. They just like to watch female bodies more than males they said.
