Vex Mythoclast Drop Rate?
Before anyone assumes that this post is a typical complaint about why I don't have the Vex yet....your wrong.
I genuinely would like to know how many VOG raids you did before you acquired the Vex. I don't claim to have racked up the most hours or to have done countless raids but I just cannot seem to get this weapon for the life of me.
I tend to just look for Atheon CP's as the Vex is the only weapon I need for that raid. Does this effect the drop rate?
Also since the new DLC has the drop rate been reduced even more?
I will of course keep grinding VOG until I get it but if anyone has any input please lemme know!

1 ReplyTook me a good 20 over 3 toons before I had one drop. After HoW though I've been on groups where 4 of us got fatebringer and the 3 vex dropped in the same raid. So it may have increased. Keep running it!

I've probably run hard VoG only 20 times or so, and I've had 5. But I started them in Feb or so. Perhaps they increased the drop rate because it seems it was far more "rare" in the early days of this game. It's also nowhere near as powerful now as it was originally.

Got it on first hard run, completed normal maybe 3 or 4 times before that.

About 8 runs when I got my first Vex. After that, they literally dropped for me every other time I ran VoG. The most I had at one point was 10, and I wish I was joking.

Honestly while it's still a cool/unique weapon it's not worth using anymore after the fusion rifle nerf. It's much more difficult to land headshots due to mythoclast being treated like a fusion rifle and thus being nerfed. It's still one of the coolest weapons, but the vex was always about landing consecutive headshots and now that this is extremely difficult outside of the closest of mid range scenarios (even with send it) it has become more of a collectors item than anything else. :)

I as well only looked for gatekeeper or atheon CP. I got the vex after my 4th or 5th attempt

You can get it from just doing the checkpoint, I got one the other day from doing that.

Did VoG Saturday night, came out with Fatebringer, Gjallarhorn, Vex Mythoclast, and Titan Helmet. Crazy lucky run.

It's so very random. I got one on my 4th AND 5th run, and then never again for about 35 more completions.

I'd say I get vex every 3 out of 5 attempts.
