Has anyone ever considered deleting their main character?
What the title says.
I wanna change my characters appearance, but the only way to do that is by deleting my character, whom is my main, and starting another character. Has anyone ever done this as well?
Still debating on whether or not to do so. I kinda wanna keep my character because it was my first character since launch
Edit: I'm not deleting my main, but instead am giving up playing as a hunter until TTK. I never expected so many others to be having the same issue I had as well.

My Titan was my baby...2 months into the game I got rid of him. I made 3 hunters :( I was desperate to be 30...hunters looked cool. It's all good now though. Got all 3 & my hunter is my baby. My Titan just isn't the same:/

I thought about it but didn't because you can just enable helmets in social spaces to cover my ugly face.

I thought about it. If I do it, it won't be my main. I might delete one of the others so I can do the story as the other sub classes.

Two things: 1. I wouldn't be too sad if my data was completely deleted. It would allow a fresh start to main a new class or at least adjust to new gear. 2. I wish we had more than 3 character slots. Even just one more would be good. I have so much gear and shaders I'd like to wear and a limited amount of characters to use them on. I've deleted a Warlock, a Titan, and 3 Hunters all because of this.

1 ReplyI considered it but didn't. Worst part about it was I considered over something so small and trivial. On the PS4 I picked a human female for my main character who's a Warlock. After about a hundred hours of gameplay I became sick and tired of her hairstyle and her dance. A I have an Awoken female Warlock on the Xbone and I love her hairstyle ( Mohawk), her dance and her wave and I suddenly became obsessed with recreating her on PS4, problem is, I already had 3 characters on the PS4 and I couldn't make an Awoken female Warlock without deleting a character. Since then I can't stand the sight of my Warlock on my PS4. I'm quite literally disgusted by her appearance. I'm desperate for a Salon/Barber on the tower and/or a new selection of emotes.

I had three Warlocks for a very long time. About a week ago I deleted 2 and made a Titan and a Hunter. It was a grind to get them leveled but I am thrilled with the new toons.IMHO now is the time to do it with the new sub classes coming down the road. You will have plenty of time to get setup.

I deleted about 4 to 5 characters. I love ultron new monarchy red cowl hunter.... I kinda look like an ultron sentry but that's fine. I'll never delete my main. No matter how badly I want to make him look like Ultron Prime.

5 RepliesDude I'm strongly considering moving over to the Warlock side of the force. I run 3 Titans, but it's starting to appear to me as though Warlocks are the dominant class. Yes, I know that any of the classes in a good player's hands reigns supreme. But it seems as though warlocks, even in bad player's hands, are quite alright. Good players are simply gods with them. Hmm...

My first was a hunter.... Then made a warlock. Created a second hunter to try and get another piece of armor for VoG (only ever got the boots until TDB dropped). Deleted my first hunter to create a titan. (Liked my second hunter better.)
